Recently, Zhang Jinbao, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the District Veterans Affairs Bureau, led a team to the home of the "heroic mother" Guo Shenglan, communicated with Guo Shenglan and her family, and inquired in detail about their life and health.
In 1996, Guo Shenglan's son Yang Bo served in the former Shanghai Public Security Fire Brigade, as a squad leader, he received the emergency task of Shanghai Donggou Shipyard "Che 14" ferry smoke at the bottom of the ship and 3 workers were trapped, rushed to the scene as soon as possible, took the lead to the bottom of the ship, and rescued 2 workers in distress in a row. After the death of her son, Guo Shenglan did not put forward any difficulties and demands to the unit and the government, and took out part of the pension to help the families of firefighters in difficulty. For more than 20 years, Guo Shenglan has successively sent more than 1,000 catties of peanuts, red dates and more than 1,000 pairs of handmade insoles to her son's former unit. On March 4, more than 40 volunteers from Qingdao Film Academy came to the martyrs' cemetery in the new district to wipe the tombstones of the revolutionary martyrs and clean the cemetery. On March 16, more than 100 people from China University of Petroleum (East China), Hongde School, Chunyu Public Welfare and Jiaonan Street carried out the "Qingming Festival for Heroes and Martyrs and Casting the Chinese Soul" in the martyrs' cemetery in the new district, sweeping the tombs of the martyrs and painting the inscriptions. On March 28, Yinzhu Junior High School carried out the activity of "Qingming Festival for Heroes and Martyrs, Mourning and Sending Loyal Souls" in the martyrs' cemetery in the new district, and invited Zhao Wenzan, a retired soldier, to preach the deeds of martyrs.
In order to do a good job in the service guarantee of the martyrs' relatives in different places, the District Veterans Affairs Bureau contacted the veterans' affairs department in advance and told the martyrs' families to pay attention to the precautions on the way to the martyrs.
