Recently, there has been another big incident in the Middle East! On 3 April, Yemen's Houthi fighters launched another missile and drone attack on US warships.
It is said that at that time, the Houthis were full of strength and fired an anti-ship ballistic missile and two drones at the US destroyer "Greavely" roaming the Red Sea. But the U.S. military is not a vegetarian either, and quickly intervened, intercepting and destroying all these attack weapons. Although neither side has much to lose, it has only added to the tensions in the Middle East.
At this juncture, the US military was not idle, directly destroying a mobile surface-to-air missile system in the area controlled by the Houthis. U.S. Central Command said that the system was a threat and that it had to be dealt with quickly.
In recent years, the relationship between Yemen's Houthis and the United States and Britain has not been good. Since the outbreak of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict last year, the Houthis have frequently carried out missile and drone attacks in the waters of the Red Sea to give Palestine a platform. As for the United States and Britain, they have not been idle, and have continuously launched air strikes on Houthi targets, causing heavy losses on both sides. This kind of retaliatory action has made the situation in the Middle East more and more tense like a powder keg.
Not to mention the fact that the United States also claims that the Houthis are supported by Iran. Before the Houthis launched an attack on the US warship, the consular building of the Iranian embassy in Syria was attacked by missiles. This series of events has simply made the politics of the Middle East region unstable.
