It is understood that in March 2016, the female giant panda "Hua Ni" and the male giant panda "Yuan Xin" from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda arrived at Samsung Everland in South Korea to start the journey of scientific research cooperation between China and South Korea on giant pandas. Since their stay in South Korea, giant pandas "Hua Ni" and "Yuan Xin" have bred a total of 3 cubs, including "Fu Bao".

In recent years, the mainland has comprehensively and systematically planned to improve the level of conservation and management of giant pandas abroad, continuously improved the management mechanism of international cooperation, strengthened supervision and management, and ensured the living conditions and quality of giant pandas abroad, and achieved fruitful results in international cooperation on giant pandas.

According to the international cooperation agreement on giant pandas, giant panda cubs born abroad generally return to China at the age of two to four. Before and after returning to China, the giant pandas born abroad will also face three difficulties in adaptation and challenges.
