Euro Championship round of 24 out: The group of death is here, Poland narrowly beat Wales on penalties

In the 2024 European Football Championship, the play-off finals will be ushered in in the early morning of March 27, Beijing time, to determine the final three European Championship finals places. After a wonderful competition, Ukraine reversed Iceland 2-1, Georgia eliminated Greece on penalties, and Poland beat Wales on penalties.

Ukraine 2-1 Iceland

The Ukrainian team challenged Bosnia and Herzegovina away in the semi-finals, first sending an own goal to cause the situation to be passive, but Ukraine fought back with all its might, and finally reversed the opponent and advanced to the final in a thrilling way. Iceland also played away from home, unceremoniously facing Israel, winning 4-1 to advance to the play-off final.

The match was played in Wroclaw, Poland, not in Ukraine. In the 30th minute, Gudmundsson cut inside and scored with a powerful volley from the top of the arc to give Iceland the lead. In the 40th minute, Yaremchuk scored a goal, but unfortunately the offside was invalid, and Ukraine was still 0-1 behind.

Georgia beat Luxembourg 2-0 in the last round to make the cut, while Greece played smoothly in the semi-finals, sweeping Central Asian giants Kazakhstan 5-0 to reach the final.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw in regulation time, with no goals scored in extra time and the two sides had to decide on penalties. Georgia scored the first penalty and Greece lost the first penalty, then both sides scored in the second round and Georgia missed the third round and Greece scored. In the fourth round, Georgia scored, and Greece missed again. Thus, after Quiquiskiri scored for Georgia in the fifth round, the match ended.

Georgia made it to Group C of the play-offs and were placed in Group F where they will compete with Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
