I am an ordinary person, but I also have the year of standing, have I "stood up"?
In 1965, I unknowingly stepped into the year of establishment. This year, I was temporarily transferred from the Second Regiment of the Shannan Division to the "Four Good Companies, Five Good Soldiers" essay group of the Military Region. There are Wang Deming, Zhang Feng, Mou Wenbing, Zhang Zhao and so on in the essay group.
I wrote the novel "Company Commander's "Treasure Chest", which was discussed by the whole group and reviewed by the leader, and the task was completed.
At that time, on the occasion of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Military Region set up a sports team to prepare to participate in the region-wide sports meeting in order to celebrate.
One day, I went to the auditorium of the military district club to watch a movie. I happened to meet Comrade Liu Shicai of our regiment, who participated in the football team of the military region.
When the track and field team of the military region entered, Liu Shicai said to me: This is Deng Qi, the captain of the track and field team of the military region (staff officer of the training office of the military region). I was very envious and said with emotion: In 1958, I participated in the track and field team of the Shenyang Air Force Physical Engineering Team, and I was a "three-iron" (shot put, iron cake, javelin) athlete.
The speaker has no intention, but the listener has a heart. Liu Shicai told Deng Qi, the captain of the track and field team, these words.
One Sunday, I went to the No. 1 Guest House of the Factory Military Region to play with Liu Shicai, and after a long talk, he called Deng Qi, led me under a big willow tree, and took the shot put for me to throw.
I was so happy that I didn't bother to take off my cotton clothes and prepare for the event, so I threw it out.
Captain Deng measured it with a tape measure, more than ten meters, which has broken the record of the autonomous region.
Shortly after the task of the essay collection group was completed, Lu Ming, deputy director of the Cultural Department of the Political Department of the Military Region, sent someone to take me from Bajiao Street to the No. 1 Guest House of the Military Region.
Captain Deng was happy and announced at the track and field team plenary meeting that I was an athlete and coach.
In this autonomous region's sports meeting, the military region's representative team won almost all the first place.
Commander Zhang Guohua was very happy and cordially met with all the members of the physical work team. I broke the record of the Tibet Autonomous Region for my shot put and iron loaf, and I was awarded a third-class meritorious service.
In the same year, my novel "Company Commander's "Treasure Chest" was published in the August issue of "People's Liberation Army Literature and Art", and was awarded the third prize at the end of the year.
In the same year, I was transferred from the Second Regiment of the Shannan Division to the Creation Group of the Cultural Department of the Political Department of the Military Region.
The years are like songs, the past is like smoke, thinking about these, I am not excited, and I can't be excited. Because these are the past, after all, and they are ordinary. It's just that I'm dying old, and I love to remember the things of the past, but it's just thinking about it.

Wang Shilian: Born in December 1935, originally from Linqing City, Shandong Province, joined the army in 1955 and entered the DPRK, served as a central cultural instructor in the third battalion of the 541st Regiment of the 134th Division Artillery, and entered the Changchun Confidential School in July 1956. After graduation, he went to work in the Confidential Bureau of the Shenyang Air Force Command, went to Tibet in March 1959 to support the counterinsurgency, and in July of that year, he went to work in the headquarters of the Second Regiment of the Shannan Division. In 1965, he was transferred to the Cultural Department of the Political Department of the Military Region, and in 1970, he was transferred to the 3rd Battalion of the 52nd Division as an instructor. In December 1978, he was transferred to the Cultural Bureau of Linqing City, Shandong Province as the director, and in 1985, he was transferred to the Chengdu Municipal Health Bureau to work until his retirement.
