Former welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. hasn't decided on his next bout yet, but he's been hit hard outside the Circle. And it was none other than his former coach - Derrick James.

Although there is no real name, many media speculate that this so-called "Al" is Al Haymon, the head of Errol Spence Jr.'s event promotion company, Premier Boxing Champions.
Derek James' lawyer wrote in the lawsuit paper, "When Derek James and Errol Spence Jr. reached their agreement, there was no man named 'Al' present, so it was completely wrong to take the advice of this man named 'Al.'" The lawyer also urged Errol Spence Jr. to take his responsibilities as soon as possible and abide by their verbal agreement to pay Derek James the remaining $2.15 million.
In an interview with reporters, Derek James' lawyer said: "Mr. Derek James was paid by providing labor and services in exchange for Errol Spence Jr., and the current situation is that Errol Spence Jr. failed to pay Mr. Derek James in full, this act is deliberate, malicious and should be condemned by the whole world." ”
Derek James and Errol Spence Jr. have been working together since London 2012, winning the IBF, WBC and WBA welterweight world titles together.
