The starting price is as high as 350,000 BYD Seal has been on the market in India for 15 days: orders have exceeded 500 units

Fast Technology reported on March 23 that earlier this month, BYD's pure electric coupe Seal EV was launched in India, with a total of 3 models and a price equivalent to 356,000-460,000 yuan, and according to the latest statistics, the car has exceeded 500 orders within 15 days of listing.

As a comparison, the starting price of the domestic Seal Champion Edition is 189,800 yuan, which means that the Indian market is almost twice as expensive as the domestic one. The first batch of seals has been loaded onto India and is expected to arrive on March 26, with deliveries to begin in April.

It is understood that the seal is the third model launched by BYD in the Indian market after the Yuan PLUS and the new E6.

The car is equipped with CTB battery-body integration technology, iTAC technology, rear-wheel drive/four-wheel drive architecture, and high-efficiency eight-in-one electric powertrain, and the all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

As early as October 2022, BYD officially announced its entry into the Indian passenger car market, and the first car is ATTO 3 (domestic yuan PLUS), which is priced at 2.5 million Indian rupees (about 218,000 yuan) in India, nearly 80,000 yuan more expensive than the old domestic model (from 139,800).

Since its launch in October 2022, the car has been well received by local customers and has become a star model by occupying the top spot in India's high-end pure electric vehicle sales list.

In September last year, BYD delivered 200 BYD ATTO 3 units in six major cities in India (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin) and engaged users to celebrate and commemorate this important milestone.
