On April 26, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CSSC, named the first 32,000DWT heavy lift vessel (H2469) built by Schoeller Holdings Group.
Pick up a new ship
At the same time, Huangpu Wenchong signed an order with Schoeller Holdings Group for two more 32,000DWT heavy crane vessels.
Mr. Schoeller, Chairman of SHL Group, Rong Rong, General Manager of Marine Business Department III of China State Shipbuilding Industry Trading Co., Ltd., and Han Jianbing, Deputy General Manager of Huangpu Wenchong, signed the contract on behalf of the three parties.
At the ceremony, Luo Bing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Huangpu Wenchong, welcomed the guests on behalf of the company. Kyriacos Panayides, Ms. A. Lee, Deputy Minister of Shipping, Government of the Republic of Cyprus. Marina Hadjimanolis recognized the quality of the ship and thanked all parties involved in its construction.
At the dock, the godmother named and cut the cable for the H2469 wheel. The vessel was named "AAL LIMASSOL" and was included in DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus, will be added to the Cyprus Ship Registry as the second Cypriot-flagged vessel in the AAL fleet.
The "AAL LIMASSOL" is the third generation of professional heavy cranes, the largest tonnage heavy crane currently built in Huangpu Wenchong, and the name of the first ship in the newbuilding fleet of AAL Shipping Company, a subsidiary of Schoeller Holdings Group. The ship is 179.9 meters long, 30 meters wide, 15.5 meters in draft, equipped with three 350-ton heavy-duty cranes, and the combined crane can reach 700 tons.
During the construction of the ship, with the care and support of the shipowner and all parties, Huangpu Wenchong paid close attention to the preparation of production technology, strictly controlled the quality cycle, scientifically arranged the deployment, and promoted the completion of various nodes with excellence, and performed well during the sea trial, laying a solid foundation for high-quality delivery.

Since 2008, the company has built a number of ship types such as 1700TEU, 1900TEU, 2700TEU, 2800TEU container ship and 32000DWT heavy crane ship for Schoeller Holdings Group, a total of nearly 30 ships. This time, Huangpu Wenchong will also live up to the expectations of the shipowner and help the development of the shipowner with high-quality products.
