On April 29, with the full support of Songjiang Customs, Johnson Matthey (Shanghai) Catalyst Co., Ltd. successfully exported platinum nitrate and palladium nitrate solution worth US$9.4 million to Malaysia according to the time limit agreed by the purchaser.
Johnson Matthey is a foreign-owned company located in the Songjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, specializing in the production and manufacture of precious metal chemicals and precious metal catalysts, mainly in the traditional automotive and other industries. In recent years, Johnson Matthey has sought overseas development and expanded overseas markets. Not long ago, a potential Malaysian customer placed an order with Johnson Matthey to purchase a batch of platinum nitrate and palladium nitrate solution. However, orders must be delivered within 23 days, otherwise they will be transferred to other countries. Upon receipt of the order, Johnson Matthey's internal calculations showed that the actual delivery time was expected to be approximately four days later than the customer's request.
After the overseas order was blocked, Johnson Matthey immediately contacted Songjiang Customs to explain the difficulties, hoping that the customs would help to protect the hard-won order. In view of the problems faced by enterprises, Songjiang Customs comprehensively considers optimizing the customs clearance supervision process and compresses the time for enterprises to handle the "Appraisal Result of the Use of Transport and Packaging of Outbound Dangerous Goods" for export goods.
To this end, Songjiang Customs uses the H2018 system cloud issuance module to strengthen the efficiency of each operation node, complete the inspection in a timely manner according to the appointment time of the enterprise and prepare the certificate for the first time, compress the inspection and issuance time of the whole chain, and finally shorten the processing time of the "Appraisal Result of the Use of Outbound Dangerous Goods Transport and Packaging" by 2 days to help the enterprise win this overseas order.
Such a situation of solving problems for enterprises in the jurisdiction is not an exception in Songjiang Customs. In recent years, Songjiang Customs has insisted on taking a step forward and taking the initiative to share worries for enterprises. Recently, we co-hosted the AEO preferential enterprise policy tour with the District Economic Commission, and invited the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shanghai Customs business experts for Songjiang District key enterprises to carry out AEO preferential enterprise policy publicity, nearly 100 enterprise representatives to participate in the seminar, to promote the Songjiang jurisdiction of AEO high-recognition enterprises continue to increase, the current jurisdiction of a total of 42 AEO advanced certification enterprises, ranking second in all districts of Shanghai; in March, Songjiang Customs through precise assistance to help the jurisdiction of bee products enterprises to expand exports, issued the first Shanghai Customs export to the UK honey animal origin products health certificate, in the first quarter, a total of 37 batches of bee products exported, involving a value of 1.716 million US dollars.
Previously, in order to ensure the smooth export of fresh and fresh hairy crabs of Songjiang famous agricultural products, Songjiang Customs set up a green channel for the territorial inspection and inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products for import and export, strengthened the protection of territorial inspection and law enforcement resources, optimized the inter-departmental cooperation process, and realized the inspection and signing with the report, so as to ensure the rapid and smooth implementation of the export inspection and inspection of hairy crabs, and ensure that the enterprise can obtain the animal quarantine certificate within 1 working day, laying a solid foundation for the smooth customs clearance of the enterprise abroad.
