The power of youth builds dreams, and the "young geese" spread their wings and fly high
"We hope that through ideological guidance, academic counseling, psychological counseling, career guidance and other volunteer services, we can help children see higher and fly farther. At the beginning of 2022, Li Hao, Lin Song, Qu Xiangqian, and other selected students from Liangqiu Town, Fei County, Linyi City, jointly launched the "Township Goose Flying" volunteer service project with the New Era Civilization Practice Institute of Liangqiu Town.
The project takes outstanding college graduates as the "leading geese" to drive the "wild geese" of rural junior and senior high school students, and help the rural "young geese" to build their dreams for the future under the sky of the new era. In the past two years, the volunteer service project has served 5,000 students.
The project organizes volunteers to accompany the children in the form of letters, listen to their hearts, solve their troubles, and accompany them to grow up with the power of words. Through regular home visits, we also understand the children's psychological dynamics and learning trends, answer questions and untie knots for the children with their own experience, and warm the children's hearts with their own love.
During the winter vacation of 2022, Horseshoe River Village, Jiangjiaweizi Village, and Donghekou Village in Liangqiu Town jointly carried out a "Learning Experience Sharing Meeting", and selected students from Tsinghua University and Peking University shared their learning and growth experiences with the children.
In the summer of 2023, the village-based selection and transfer students of Liangqiu Town, together with many towns and towns in Fei County, held 10 consecutive "Township Geese Flying" science popularization classroom activities, and demonstrated interesting science popularization experiments through science popularization experimental equipment such as three-ball instruments and microscopes. At the same time, 11 volunteers from the School of Foreign Chinese Languages of Peking University walked into the Party and Mass Service Center in Horseshoe River Village, Liangqiu Town, and gave a unique lecture to the children about their study experience.
On the banks of the canals in Liaocheng, on the islands of Yantai, and in the plains of Heze, "Township Goose Flying" has become a "golden" signboard for students to study in rural areas.
In June 2023, "Township Geese Helping to Fly" was rated as an excellent resident work plan by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and was promoted in the province as a typical case.
