After the new round of reform, the art examination is no longer "easy to test" Candidates: Intensify the study of cultural courses in order to sprint to better schools

CCTV Beijing, January 12 (Reporter Guo Jun Feng Yi) From November 2023, the 2024 unified examination for art majors in various places will be kicked off one after another. As the first exam after the reform, the 2024 art exam has attracted much attention.

For a long time, the art examination has been considered a "shortcut" by many people, and some candidates who do not have outstanding results in cultural courses try to complete their college dreams through the art examination, which makes the public generally have the perception that art candidates have a low level of education. One of the highlights of the art examination reform is that it has further raised the threshold for the cultural course scores of art candidates.

The score threshold of cultural courses has been raised, and a group of students are "discouraged"?

In order to gradually improve the requirements for cultural achievements and reverse the trend of "emphasizing majors over culture" in the selection of art professionals in some colleges and universities, in 2021, the Ministry of Education has issued a document, proposing that by 2024, the basic establishment of a unified college entrance examination as the basis, provincial professional examination as the main body, based on the college entrance examination cultural scores, professional examination results, reference to the comprehensive quality evaluation of students, classification examination, comprehensive evaluation, multiple admission of college art professional examination enrollment system.

According to Chu Zhaohui, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences, artistic literacy must have a cultural foundation to go to a higher place and be improved. In this case, the role of cultural literacy is not highlighted. To create and make aesthetic judgments, it is not possible to do without a certain level of cultural literacy. ”

The improvement of the results of cultural courses is destined to make some candidates and parents face anxiety, which means that in addition to constantly improving their majors, they must also invest more energy in cultural courses, and the difficulty of art examinations will also increase.

"After the release of the new regulations, the mentality of the candidates of the class of 2025 has become obviously nervous!" Zou Chao's art examination institution specializes in providing training for media candidates in Sichuan Province. From 2024 onwards, the enrollment of art majors in Sichuan Province will implement the examination and evaluation method of "cultural quality + professional ability", with cultural quality and professional ability accounting for 50% each. This also means that in previous years, if a candidate achieved a high professional score, the cultural class only needs to be able to ensure that the provincial score line can relax a little. However, after the reform, even if the scores obtained in the professional courses are considerable, if the results of the cultural courses are not satisfactory, the candidates may lose their professional advantages. Therefore, the reform also "dissuaded" a group of candidates who chose the art examination because of their poor grades in cultural classes.

"We found that the class of 2024 did not pay much attention to cultural classes during the interview and consultation process, but it has significantly improved since the class of 2025. The reform was announced in March 2023, and it has been nearly a year now, which has made many students and parents realize the important role that cultural classes play in admissions. Zou Chao told reporters that the candidates of the class of 2025 are generally aware that in the future, the results of cultural courses will have a greater impact on their further education.

Is that true of "going to the art exam only if you don't get good grades"?

"For me, art exams are not a shortcut. The JAE examination room was a great challenge for me, it tested my knowledge and on-the-spot response, and some of the questions examined were also improvised. "Wang Chuan, a 2024 Sichuan Provincial Broadcasting and Hosting candidate, has just finished his exam. Among the more than 4,000 broadcasting and hosting candidates in the province, her unified examination results ranked in the top 20. While preparing for the art exam, Wang Chuan was aiming for a comprehensive university in Sichuan Province, but after the results of her major courses were announced, she found that she could sprint to a better school, so she began to focus on improving her grades in cultural classes.

Han Yu, who is also a candidate in the 2024 Sichuan Provincial Broadcasting and Hosting category, aims for Communication University of China this year, which also means that in addition to achieving top-notch professional results, the results of cultural courses cannot be relaxed. In Sichuan Province, among the candidates for broadcasting and hosting, Han Yu's professional results ranked in the top ten, according to the policy of "literary and special arrangement" in previous years, as long as the cultural course passed the provincial control line, he could rely on excellent professional results to enter some schools. But after the reform, Han Yu's cultural class grades need to be "the higher the better." ”

"It takes a lot of effort to learn art. Han Yu said that since the second semester of the second semester of high school, her preparation direction has shifted from learning guzheng to learning to broadcast and host, and the transformation of the track takes time and energy, and at the same time, she also has to take into account the results of cultural classes. "Whether it's studying culture or art, I don't think it's a very easy path, and many students come (to take the art exam) because they like this kind of major and want to enter an art university in this way. ”

Chu Zhaohui believes that if the basic cultural requirements for candidates are not improved in the art examination, it will be difficult for the industry to cultivate people with long-term development potential. If you are truly gifted in art, you still need to learn the basic cultural foundation and create conditions for your future growth and development on this basis. ”

The purpose of the reform is to meet the needs of high-quality artistic talents

Talent is the foundation of a strong country and the foundation of prosperity. The enrollment of art examination is an important starting point for the cultivation of artistic talents. In addition to the further increase in the threshold of cultural courses, the new round of art examinations is more unified and standardized, and in the examination instructions issued by various provinces, the examination syllabus, total scores, and scoring standards tend to be unified, which objectively promotes the fairness of the examination.

Chu Zhaohui believes that the adjustment of the art examination policy is an overall optimization. The outdated and imperfect examination model will affect the overall fairness of the examination and the development of art candidates, so that their future development potential is not strong enough, and the employment opportunities are limited. "The adjustment of the art examination policy is more suitable for the requirements of the profession and the requirements of people's growth and development. Chu Zhaohui said that targeted adjustments can meet the needs of high-quality artistic talents and help the school truly select talents with artistic talent and foundation.
