"After the release of the new regulations, the mentality of the candidates of the class of 2025 has become obviously nervous!" Zou Chao's art examination institution specializes in providing training for media candidates in Sichuan Province. From 2024 onwards, the enrollment of art majors in Sichuan Province will implement the examination and evaluation method of "cultural quality + professional ability", with cultural quality and professional ability accounting for 50% each. This also means that in previous years, if a candidate achieved a high professional score, the cultural class only needs to be able to ensure that the provincial score line can relax a little. However, after the reform, even if the scores obtained in the professional courses are considerable, if the results of the cultural courses are not satisfactory, the candidates may lose their professional advantages. Therefore, the reform also "dissuaded" a group of candidates who chose the art examination because of their poor grades in cultural classes.
"We found that the class of 2024 did not pay much attention to cultural classes during the interview and consultation process, but it has significantly improved since the class of 2025. The reform was announced in March 2023, and it has been nearly a year now, which has made many students and parents realize the important role that cultural classes play in admissions.
