New York-based jeweller Ivy New York and international gem-dealer Gemfields have just launched a collaborative jewelry collection featuring large Mozambican rubies and Zambian emeralds as center stones, paired with rose-cut diamonds to create rings, earrings, bracelets and more, inspired by founder Vlad Yavorskyy's love of gemstones.
The "Ruby" series features rubies from Mozambique as the main stone. A vintage-inspired ring with 7 pear-shaped and oval rubies forms a geometric floral motif, set with pavé round diamonds and 6 marquise diamonds, set in black settings for a kaleidoscopic effect.
The "Emerald" series uses emeralds from Zambia as the main stone, and tsavorites to create a three-dimensional color gradation. The highlight is an emerald ring with a 5.04ct oval oil-free emerald with a classical look set with 8 pear-shaped and oval rose-cut diamonds weighing a total of 3.6ct. Eight round tsavorites are set in the gaps between the diamonds, accentuating the intense green color of the center stone.
