Maputo, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The 45th escort group of the Chinese Navy concluded its goodwill visit to Mozambique and left the port of Maputo, Mozambique, at noon local time on April 5.

During their visit to Mozambique, the commander of the formation met with the Mayor of Maputo, Manik, and the Chief of Staff of the Mozambican Navy, Commodore General Vaz, and had in-depth exchanges. On the morning of the 2nd, the officers and men of the Linyi ship of the formation carried out demonstrations such as the wearing of fireproof clothing and the use of damage management equipment, and the officers and men of the two navies conducted professional exchanges on ship operation and equipment maintenance. The Urumqi warship held a deck reception, and the officers and men organized lion dances, tai chi, and other cultural activities with Chinese characteristics.
Representatives of the Mozambican military, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Mozambique, overseas Chinese and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises went to the pier on the 5th to bid farewell.
