And Alois Druger was the head of Hitler's application for the painting school of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts.
Hitler began to pass the auditions (preliminary entrance exams), but was brushed off in the later selection promotion stage because he did not have many paintings, and he only copied traditional paintings instead of creating his own works.
That's exactly what Alois Drueger gave him.
However, Alois Druger believed that Hitler was more talented as an artist in architecture than in painting, and he hoped that Hitler would apply for the school's architectural program.
In this way, Hitler, twice disillusioned, gave up his dream of painting.
Hitler wrote in his book Mein Kampf that this rejection surprised him "like a bolt from the blue".
