In order to continuously improve the level of "reduction, recycling, and harmlessness" of domestic waste, and actively practice the important concept of "people's city", Zhijiang West Road Street closely combines garbage classification with the strategic goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", and builds the first environmental protection exhibition hall in the residential area of Fuyuanfang to promote the low-carbon transformation or zero carbon emission of the entire community.
In the museum, a large photo wall shows a series of activities and changes since 2019, after the start of garbage classification work in Zhijiang West Road Street, recording the progress and effectiveness of the legislation year by year. At the same time, in order to conform to the concept of green, low-carbon and sustainable development, all the background cloth of the light box in the museum is replaced by green degradable imitation kraft paper, and some light sources use solar photovoltaic power generation.

"Buying one less piece of clothing per person per year can save about 2.5 kg of standard coal, and the corresponding carbon dioxide reduction is about 6.4 kg...... The tangible and visible "regeneration" works concretely show the re-creation of idle and discarded objects in the past, and rediscover their aesthetic value and practicality.
In the display cabinet, deodorant watering cans, inspection ledgers, bag breakers, garbage clips, etc. are placed in turn, witnessing every step of the change of community garbage classification, and since then the community garbage classification work has its own memory carrier.
The museum also introduces the stooping craze that is currently rapidly setting off among urban youth, "the garbage discarded by one person may be another person's treasure", explaining the deeper meaning of stooping. The "post-90s" generation and younger buyers are the main group driving the surge in second-hand consumption, and recycling and reuse are gradually becoming a new concept of life.
The "dual carbon" work is the internal demand to promote the transformation and upgrading of the economic structure, form green and low-carbon advantages, and achieve high-quality development. In the next step, Zhijiang West Road Street will further improve its position, make overall planning, and manage scientifically to help achieve the "double carbon" goal and green and low-carbon transformation.
