On the day of the winter solstice, the Gaoming District Archives of Foshan City (District Local Affairs Office) and the Minghu Community carried out the activity of "Loving the Winter Solstice Circle, Warming the Heart to the Heart" in the Hecheng Street Elderly Care Service Center, sending Fangzhi culture into the community, allowing the masses to experience the traditional culture in interaction, and more than 60 community residents participated in the activity.

During the activity, the staff of the District Local Volunteer Office started from the overview of Minghu Lake, the two rivers of Minghu, the ancient embankment of Minghu Lake, the customs and cuisine of the winter solstice, popularized the knowledge of the Minghu community and introduced the Xi related customs of the winter solstice to the community residents, which not only allowed them to understand the geographical conditions of the Minghu area, but also deepened their understanding of traditional cultural Xi customs. At the same time, the winter solstice knowledge prize quiz activity was also carried out, and the residents actively answered, and the staff sent the "winter solstice warm heart bag" to the answerers. The atmosphere was warm and high, and the residents enjoyed it.
The local folk have always attached great importance to the solar term of the winter solstice of the lunar calendar, and there is a saying that "the winter is big and the New Year is celebrated". On the winter solstice, Gaoming District has the Xi of eating tangyuan, which symbolizes reunion and beauty. Residents gather together to make rice balls, cook home cooking, cook bowls of steaming rice balls, and feel the strong festival atmosphere while tasting the taste of the winter solstice.
