Zhang Zhi'an, director of the Center for Communication and National Governance Research at Fudan University and professor at the School of Journalism at Fudan University, believes that the new competition system of the program is relatively competitive, and most netizens are expressing their remarks out of a "simple patriotic" mentality, adhering to an emotional background of "our singers can't lose", which is also the trigger of real emotions to a certain extent. However, some public opinion exaggerates the "sense of national honor", etc., which makes online speech have a heavier political color, coupled with the excessive marketing of some self-media in the program for traffic, "the Chinese music scene is crushed", resulting in irrational remarks on the Internet.
Wu Changchang, an associate professor at the Department of Journalism at the School of Communication of East China Normal University, also pointed out that after the first live broadcast of "Singer 2024" was broadcast this year, public opinion spontaneously wrapped up "patriotic feelings", and nationalist feelings showed an obvious trend of entertainment. However, the performance of songs by domestic and foreign singers is different, giving the audience different feelings, and the audience should not simply regard the international exchange of music comprehensive as a confrontation between domestic and foreign musicians.
Zhang Zhian also believes that the audience should return to the show itself and let different types of domestic and foreign singers have their own beauty, instead of paying too much attention to the results of the competition system and simply judging the so-called rankings. This is more conducive to the post-recording of the program, and it is also more conducive to giving full play to the original intention of the program team, so that Chinese and foreign music can communicate harmoniously.
