After nearly two years after the Beijing Winter Olympics, Gu Ailing once again returned to the former blessed land - Zhangjiakou Genting Snow Park. This time, she not only won the World Cup again, but also frequently became the focus of attention off the field.

After winning the freestyle skiing halfpipe championship, in an interview with Five Star Sports, Gu Ailing revealed, "I just handed in a paper this morning, and I wrote it for 12 hours yesterday." Her "time management skills" are once again being talked about. However, shortly after winning the championship, Gu Ailing appeared again at the junior ski training day event.

On the afternoon of 9 December, IWC and brand ambassador and Olympic freestyle skiing champion Eileen Gu hosted a special event for the Junior Ski Training Day. This is the second special Junior Training Day this year, co-organized by IWC and Eileen Gu, and reinforces their commitment to inspire the younger generation to get involved in skiing.

On the day of the event, the teenagers who participated in the ski lessons watched the finals of the 2023 Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup with their families, and witnessed the glorious moment when Gu Ailing won the gold medal. In the afternoon, Gu Ailing interacted with the young skiers at close range, demonstrated skiing skills to them, explained the essentials of movements, and carried out one-on-one individual training and patient guidance with the young students.

"I especially enjoy the opportunity to train with young people who love skiing and help them improve their skills and confidence, which is a very interesting and memorable experience for me," said Gu Ailing. In my interactions with them, I recalled Xi skiing as a child, where every minute counts and I thank IWC for making the day meaningful. ”

Franziska Gsell, Chief Marketing Officer at IWC, said: "For IWC, we strongly believe in the power of sport to inspire and empower young people. We've seen many times how sport can bring them together and help them build self-confidence. It means a lot to IWC to be able to co-host this special ski training day with a top skier like Eileen Gu and to introduce the younger generation to the joy of competitive sports. Eileen Gu's pursuit of precision and excellence on the field of racing is in line with IWC's philosophy. ”

This event was the second Junior Ski Training Day jointly organized by the Swiss watchmaker IWC and Eileen Gu this year, and once again demonstrated the shared values and sports philosophy of both parties. This special event is not only designed to help young people improve their skiing skills, but also to convey the spirit of sportsmanship and engineering, helping them build self-confidence and practice an active and healthy lifestyle. Earlier this year, IWC and Eileen Gu co-organised a special Junior Ski Training Day at the Aspen Ski Resort in Colorado, USA.
