Incubate the entrepreneurial dreams of young people in the "Plateau Jiangnan".

author:China Youth Network

Liu Shasha, whose hometown is in Hebei, lives on the Tibetan Plateau, and her face is branded with red marks by strong ultraviolet rays, which is often referred to as "plateau red".

This year is the second year of Liu Shasha's entrepreneurship in Batang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and the Batang Xinghuo Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd., which she founded, has participated in the design of many projects such as the Batang County New Youth Home, which is well-known in the local area.

To a certain extent, the Batang County Social Forces Development Center Cluster is a haven for young entrepreneurs like Liu Shasha. Here, from entrepreneurial ideas to project incubation to mature development, entrepreneurs can get all-round and one-stop guarantee services such as venue support, skills training, market expansion, and resource docking.

Creating a favorable environment for young people to innovate and start a business, and caring for the entrepreneurial dream that "grows" from the plateau, is the focus of the work of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League in the process of helping Batang County. In this regard, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League gave full play to the advantages of the Communist Youth League, and jointly built the Batang County Social Force Development Center Cluster and the Batang County Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator together with the designated assistance units, the local governments and social forces, to help Batang County consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and lay a good foundation for rural revitalization.

Retain young talents for rural revitalization

Liu Shasha's relationship with Tibet is somewhat accidental. In 2019, when she was a third-year student majoring in environmental design at Wuhan Institute of Design and Engineering, she signed up for the "Design Helps Targeted Poverty Alleviation" project, and came to Litang County, Ganzi Prefecture, where she participated in the design of many architectural projects such as Litang County Cultural Center, Museum, and Library. In the process, Liu Shasha was attracted by the natural scenery and cultural customs of western Sichuan, established a deep friendship with Tibetan compatriots, and also developed a strong interest in Tibetan culture and history.

She was particularly fascinated by the special architectural skills of the western Sichuan region. "One wall is repaired for three years, the first year is to put the wall up, the second year is to add materials to the wall, and the third year is to further process. In her opinion, there is a philosophy in this technique, allowing the architecture to blend naturally with the seasons and reveal beauty in the precipitation of time.

After graduating in 2020, Liu Shasha found a job in her hometown in Hebei, but in the midst of the daily complications, she felt that her creative inspiration was about to be exhausted, and she hoped to find a place where she could create freely. After communicating with her parents, she decided to return to Ganzi Prefecture, which she never forgets.

In 2021, at the suggestion of the staff of the Batang County Party Committee of Tuanganzi Prefecture, she established a design company to officially undertake design projects, and also actively participated in public welfare activities to help local villagers and serve rural development.

In the face of the demand for young talents in Batang, the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League is actively promoting the introduction and cultivation of local talents, identifying Batang County as the teaching point of Chengdu University of Technology, and introducing 9 graduate students to teach in Batang. The Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League also organized a training course for Batang rural talents, and organized leaders to go to other places to study Xi.

Zhang Shufeng, director of the Batang County Rural Revitalization Bureau, said: "Rural revitalization needs such young talents. ”

Helping young people achieve their entrepreneurial dreams

How can we help young people like Liu Shasha innovate and start businesses in Batang?

Zhang Shufeng introduced that in order to better unite the "youth power", at the beginning of this year, with the support of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League and other units, the Batang County Social Force Development Center Cluster was established to serve the cause of youth innovation and entrepreneurship in Batang County.

A small coffee shop in the Batang County Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator has attracted the attention of many people. The owner is a Tibetan girl, Geqiu Quzhen, with a smile so bright that it is difficult to see that she is actually a blind and disabled person.

In 2017, after graduating from Tibetan school in Sichuan Province, Geqiu Quzhen was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, and his eyes slowly lost their sight. At that time, she was self-contained, unwilling to communicate too much with the outside world, and did not want to face her own eyes. But at an event in 2021, Geqiu Quzhen was touched by the words of blind orator Nima Wangdui: "If you can't see it at all, you still have to accept yourself, maintain your love for life, and live a good life with enthusiasm." ”

Geqiu Quzhen regained her confidence and courage. In 2022, she met Zhang Shufeng, then secretary of the Batang County Party Committee of the Youth League, at the Batang County Youth Home, and she was later hired as a staff member of the Youth Home. Subsequently, she participated in the short video competition organized by the Youth League and County Committee, won the first prize, and got a bonus of 8,000 yuan.

Zhang Shufeng found that Geqiu Quzhen liked to drink coffee, so she encouraged her to learn to make coffee and practice a craft to support herself. This year, the center cluster invited professional baristas to provide vocational skills training for young people such as Geqiu Quzhen.

"It will be easier for people who can see it. Ge Qiu Quzhen said. Although the process of learning Xi is difficult, Geqiu Quzhen has explored a set of crafts suitable for herself, relying on counting, she has mastered the shape and degree of latte art, but she is still very modest, "I will continue to improve".

In June this year, with the help of all sectors of society, Geqiu Quzhen's "Zhuoma Cangkang" café settled in the Batang County Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator, and she also worked with the baristas who came to guide her to create a coffee category with local characteristics: highland barley crushed coffee with plateau flavor and mellow and rich yak milk latte.

The Batang County Social Forces Development Center cluster was inaugurated and put into operation in April this year, and signed settlement agreements with five social entities, including the Batang County Health Civilization Promotion Association and the Batang County Ganglamedo Public Welfare Development Center, to cultivate four characteristic projects such as "Zheli School".

The Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League plans to invest 200,000 yuan every year to cultivate a localized and professional team of young talents and social projects for rural revitalization.

"I hope to encourage more people with disabilities like me to be self-reliant. Ge Qiu Quzhen said.

Activate the driving force of plateau rural revitalization

Director Luo Songgele's home is in Nyingchi, Tibet. In 2021, he came to Batang to photograph the story of Geqiu Quzhen. In this process, he felt the charm of Batang culture, "in Batang, it is like going to Lhasa, Tibet, with a strong Tibetan cultural temperament, and you can see the shadow of the Central Plains culture."

"The villagers here are very accommodating, do not reject photographers, and are willing to be recorded. Impressed by the cultural environment and entrepreneurial policies, Rosungre set up a cultural media company in the incubator, hoping to use his inspiration and creativity in this creative hotland.

Social forces are particularly emphasized in Batang's rural revitalization cause, which is one of the reasons why Luo Songlele chose to stay.

In June this year, the Batang County Social Force Development Center Cluster collected, sorted out and released the demand for public service projects, involving a total of 2.23 million yuan, a total of 52 declared projects, and finally reached a total of 14 public service purchase intentions. Luo Songgelie's ""Aruo, Batang!" Image Empowerment Rural Revitalization Plan" was selected into the list of projects (non-directional category) and received financial support.

"Aruo" means "hello" in Tibetan, and Luo Songgel plans to interview village officials in various villages in Batang County, asking them to tell the story of the land and bring the Batang to life through video. "My original intention was to tell stories about the plateau in the form of documentaries, and now that I have the support, I am even more motivated. He said.

Zhang Shufeng introduced that guiding social forces to participate in social governance, activating endogenous power, and empowering rural revitalization are Batang's new ideas, hoping to achieve the goal of "openness, unity, mutual assistance and symbiosis".

"The villagers have special agricultural and sideline products, but there is no market, and good products have become unsalable products. "At the Batang Food Week in early October this year, Tashi Quzhen, the head of Batang Gang Lameiduo Agricultural Products Trading Co., Ltd., helped the villagers sell 2,300 catties of apples, which is also the original intention of the company in the incubator - to solve the problem of marketing.

However, now, Tashi Quzhen is facing a new problem, "The company's partners have not been in contact with e-commerce, but agricultural products can only be further expanded by entering e-commerce."

It was with the matchmaking of the central cluster that Tashi Quzhen met the head of an e-commerce company in Yunnan, and the two sides were planning to start a special live broadcast to promote Batang's agricultural products, inviting villagers to be anchors and recommend special products.

At present, the central cluster has attracted a number of high-quality think tank resources, incubated a number of local social entities, discovered a number of local township innovation talents, and integrated seven platforms, including youth innovation and entrepreneurship incubator, social work incubation and cultivation center, and talent home. Zhang Shufeng said frankly that they are still exploring the operation mechanism of the incubator, hoping that the incubator can accompany the youth to grow together, "Our work should not only meet the needs of young people, but also promote the development of Batang and achieve 'two-way running'."

In Zhang Shufeng's view, whether it is mobilizing social forces or "carefully incubating", this process is like "planting trees". Now, her greatest hope is that after incubation, these young people's entrepreneurial projects will grow into towering trees as soon as possible.
