A few years ago, in an interview with female calligraphers and painters in the ancient city of Yizhou, I met Mr. Du Peilan, and I met two or three times later. Every time I see Ms. Du Peilan, I am infected by her superb willow weaving skills and approachable speech and demeanor. It is reported that Mr. Du is a native of Tancheng, Linyi City, Shandong Province, who has been smart and diligent since he was a child, and has a natural hobby and understanding of willow weaving. Born in Liuxiang, she was exposed to willow weaving as soon as she was born, and formally learned Xi willow weaving at the age of eleven. She can understand it at a glance, and she can learn it as soon as she learns the willow weaving skills that others can learn in a year, and she can master it in only two or three months. After learning Xi willow weaving for two or three years, Du Peilan mastered the traditional techniques of flat weaving, twisting, strangle, masonry, and winding. At the age of thirteen or fourteen, Du Peilan became a well-known willow weaving master and became the "Teacher Du" in everyone's mouth. She later taught at Linyi Vocational and Technical College, and brought out many willow weaving masters, and peach and plum were all over the world.
