IT Home reported on December 19 that the foreign maintenance team iFixit recently shared a video dismantling Apple's iMac equipped with M3 chip in detail, exploring whether other aspects of this iMac have also been adjusted in addition to chip upgrades.
According to the teardown video, the overall internal design of the M3 iMac is very similar to that of the M1 iMac, with most of the parts focused on the "chin" of the iMac.
The whole disassembly process is not easy, the user needs to disassemble the screen first, and the screen part is stuck with adhesive, which needs to be removed by heating and other means.
According to media reports, during the disassembly of iFixit, it was also found that there were a lot of screws and stickers on the main logic motherboard, and the display cable was relatively fragile, and like the previous generation, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas were located behind the Apple logo.
The internals are basically the same, with one major difference: the M1 iMac has 2 coin cell batteries, while the M3 iMac has only 1 coin cell battery.
