IT Home reported on December 19 that according to Eurogamer, its editors found a large number of old mobile games and applications from TestFlight in the process of exploring the Internet Archive, with a cache capacity of up to 1.2TB, and then named it "teraleak".

TestFlight is Apple's app that helps developers distribute beta software to more than 10,000 "testers."

According to the data that has been exposed so far, "teraleak" covers older apps and game programs from 2012-2015 and should have been scraped from the TestFlight website in early 2015. The screenshot attached by IT Home is as follows:

It's unclear where the data came from, possibly from misconfigured cloud storage, with Amazon's CloudFront and AWS's S3 services mentioned in the Wayback Machine.

Before being acquired by Apple in early 2014, TestFlight allowed developers to test apps on iOS and Android. According to the dossier's description, Apple shut down the old TestFlightApp.com website in February 2015.

The cache was uploaded to the Internet Archive by the Archive Team in March 2015 and has since appeared to have gone largely unnoticed. Apple and the Internet Archive did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

According to Eurogamer, "teraleak" includes a number of unreleased games, including several Angry Birds games that didn't make it to the App Store. It seems that there are also some apps that were previously released on the App Store but have since been taken down, such as "Infinity Blade".
