Recently, the closing ceremony of the "2023 Southeast University Freshman Cultural Season" and the freshman art show were held in the Jiao Ting Biaoguan Theater of the Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University. This performance uses interviews, music, dance, fashion shows, stage plays and other stage means to show the youth, passion and vitality of the students of the University of Tokyo, carry forward the spirit of the times, and cultivate the feelings of the new students for their family and country. The show was also broadcast live online to all teachers, students and alumni from all over the world.
It is reported that the performance was sponsored by the Youth League Committee and the Art Guidance Center of Southeast University, and undertaken by the Youth League Committee of the University and the Youth League Committee of the School of Civil Engineering. This event not only has a distinct theme and ideology, but also reveals a strong cultural connotation, reflecting the multi-level and high-grade artistic charm.
This year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Second National Congress of the Chinese Socialist Youth League held in Mei'an, Sipailou Campus, Southeast University, and the Freshman Training Management Office of Sipailou Campus brought the opening performance "Inch Heart", in which the National Flag Guards showed the five-star red flag that rose in Tiananmen Square on August 21 and was donated to Southeast University by the Tiananmen Management Committee.
In the chapter of "Encounters with the University of Tokyo", the School of Architecture presented the fashion show "The Courtyard Follows the Virtuous and Luxurious Clothes", which used classic architecture as the prototype to create catwalk costumes to express the tribute to the predecessors and thoughts on architecture, the School of Communications performed the light and shadow drama "Light and Shadow of the University of Tokyo 2023", which used staggered light and shadow to tell the campus life of the University of Tokyo, and the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, the School of Information Science and Engineering, the School of Cyberspace Security, and the Pop Orchestra of the University Student Art Troupe sang "Towards Youth", igniting the passion of youth through song joint singing and dragon dance performances.
This year is the 130th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Xiong Qinglai, an outstanding mathematician, educator and founder of the Department of Mathematics of Southeast University.
In the chapter of "Colorful Dongda", teachers and students performed the guqin song "The Way of the University" together, and meditated on the perfection of the people of Dongda in the melodious sound of the piano. In the on-site interview "No Sports, No Youth", Guo Fan, the swimming coach of the Chinese delegation at the Chengdu Universiade and a teacher of the Department of Physical Education of Southeast University, and Ma Yiyi, the gold medalist of the Chengdu Universiade and a 2020 undergraduate student of the School of Law, shared the achievements of the people of Tokyo University in this year's Universiade, Asian Games, Student Youth Games and other major events at home and abroad, showing the world the vigorous struggle of the strength of the East University.
In the chapter of "Feeling the University of Tokyo", the School of Electrical Engineering performed the original situational music poem and painting "Glimmer", the Dance Troupe of the University Student Art Troupe brought the beautiful dance "Flying Music", and the Freshman Training Management Office of the Sipailou Campus and the School of Humanities brought an on-site interview "The Youth of Dongda University of Tokyo", which told the inspirational dream story of Dong Yichao, a "wheelchair boy" and a freshman of the 2023 class of the liberal arts experimental class, which moved the audience.
In the chapter of "Sailing for the University of Tokyo", the School of Civil Engineering brought the instrumental ensemble "Drunken Fu", Yang Ganlu from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiaoci Drama Club and Jiangning Branch of the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University presented the Beijing song "Chasing the Moon", and the choir of the University Art Troupe sang "The Southeast of the Xiangjiang Pillow Haijia", singing the pride and dreams of the people of Dongda.
It is reported that the "2023 Southeast University Freshman Cultural Season" lasted for three months and attracted more than 10,000 students from Southeast University to participate in more than 100 days and nights.
