IT Home reported on December 13 that according to Bloomberg, Apple is "stepping up" on Made in India, planning to increase the production of "Made in India" iPhones by 5 times in 5 years.

Bloomberg said that the Foxconn Technology Group in Apple's supply chain has invested at least $1 billion (about 7.18 billion yuan at present) in one of its Indian factories, and Foxconn is expected to allocate about $2.7 billion (currently about 19.386 billion yuan) budget for the Indian factory to strengthen the Indian assembly industry chain and expand iPhone production capacity.

IT Home reported earlier today that Foxconn's first assembly line at its factory in Bangalore, India, will be completed in April next year, when it will also begin its iPhone assembly work for the first time. With the successful completion of this project, Foxconn will significantly increase its production in India.
