The brutal struggle between the Iraqi rebels and the US forces in Iraq is like a protracted game of cat and mouse. This film tells the story of a group of American bomb disposal experts who are sent to Baghdad on a mission. There every localis is like a potential enemy, every target is like a camouflaged bomb, and they must be careful, and the slightest carelessness will cost them their lives.
"Bomb Disposal Unit" is based on the memoirs of writer and producer Mark Ball, a former correspondent assigned to Iraq's bomb zones. The film begins with a Bravo Company (i.e., B Company) demonstrating the proper procedure for defusing a street bomb - first remotely controlling a robot into a garbage-like street to reconnoitre, and if a bomb is found, a column of armed forces will enter the target area wearing blast suits and carrying demining pliers. However, with 38 days to go before the end of the mission, James, the new leader of B Company, recklessly lifted all bomb disposal procedures, and the bomb disposal unit was immediately put in danger and its life was in danger. With the team leader disregarding the lives of their comrades, the team had to find a way to save themselves.
As the plot develops and time goes by, their psychology and behavior have changed dramatically. As a result, the audience's emotions are attracted to their encounters, fluctuating with their mood swings. It is almost certain that the character of James is not flattering. Aside from what happened on Baghdad Street, a column of armed security guards from American contractors appears to be progressing very well in the desert, but the pace of the whole film does not allow them to be smooth sailing.
