A few days ago, the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Roller Skating Championships was held in Beidaihe Roller Skating Sports Center, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, and Zhang Hao, Zhu Siyi, Zhang Zhenhai and Yu Junyan, who achieved excellent results in the roller skating competition of the Hangzhou Asian Games, served as the flag bearers of the Asian Roller Skating Championships.
It is reported that the 19th Asian Roller Skating Championships is sponsored by the Asian Roller Skating Federation and the Oceania Roller Skating Federation, organized by the Social Sports Guidance Center of the State General Administration of Sports, the Chinese Roller Skating Association, the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Qinhuangdao Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by the Social Sports Center of the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau, the Qinhuangdao Municipal Sports Bureau and the Beidaihe District People's Government. Nearly 1,000 participants from 12 countries and regions, including China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand, participated in the competition.
At the opening ceremony, the athletes' delegation appeared in turn. The four performance chapters of "Asia, Mountains and Seas and Harmony", "China, Sunrise Orient", "Beidaihe, Brave Tide Head" and "Unity and Roller Skating Dream" integrate world style, national style and Beidaihe elements, combine roller skating with art, and interpret the theme of "Gathering You and Me and Rising Asia" through wonderful interpretations, conveying the vision of the Asian roller skating family of unity, forging ahead together and full of vitality, showing the demeanor of self-confidence and optimism, stepping on the waves, meeting challenges, and bravely climbing peaksThe sportsmanship of "faster, higher, stronger, more united".
The Asian Roller Skating Championships is the highest level of comprehensive roller skating event in Asia, and has been held in Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan and other countries for 18 times. As the host of the event, Beidaihe District has comprehensively promoted the development of roller skating since 2005, and has built the internationally renowned "Beidaihe Roller Skating Festival" for 19 consecutive years, and is a world-renowned demonstration city for roller skating development.
This year's Asian Roller Skating Championships brought together the best roller skaters from Asia and Oceania who showcased the speed, art and passion of roller skating on the field. As of October 22, the speed skating track events of this year's Asian Roller Skating Championships have been completed, and the Chinese team has won a total of 9 gold medals and 8 bronze medals in the 20 sub-events of speed skating track competition. On the next few race days, athletes will also compete in speed roller road races, figure skating, freestyle skating, single-row rollerball and double-row roller skating.
