Griffith University in Australia is preparing a temporary but robust collaborative training program, led by renowned Australian coach Michael Bohl.
Two Japanese swimmers, Daiya Seto and Rikako Ikee, will travel to Queensland for the end-of-year camp.
Ikee has been training with Boll for the past two weeks, and Seto will join in the coming weeks. Seto studied with Pol as early as 2017, and Ikee also went to Australia for foreign training in 2018 and 2019, in fact, she was diagnosed with leukemia during the external training in 2019.
"Many Japanese swimmers participated in this camp, and the cooperation between Japan and Australia is very good." Boll said.
Ikee won his first international medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games (third place in the 50 butterfly), while Seto won the silver medal in the 400 mixed and the bronze medal in the 200 mix.
