At first, Cao Shuang took Sima Yi's watch and ordered the army to set up antlers, and thousands of people took a defensive posture. Huan Fan persuaded Cao Shuang to take Tianzi to Xuchang and ordered Qin Wang. However, Cao Shuang did not follow Huan Fan's advice, but instead sent Xu Yun and Chen Tai to meet sima Yi at night to listen to Sima Yi's opinion.
