Li Er, who won this year's Mao Dun Literature Prize for his novel "Ying Wu Brother", believes that a novelist who is responsible for himself must have some connection and echo with the distant history of fiction, and at the same time, the novelist lives in a sense in the gap between words and things, opening up a small space and passing through. He used Shi Jingcun's novel as an example to say that there are several important scenes in the work that can be left behind, "For example, because his tongue has become a relic, and the relics we usually think of as relics must have nothing to do with carnal desires, and have nothing to do with power, but in Shi Lao's body, all the temptations of the outside world, his flesh is related to him, but there is some transcendence and refinement - so that even after kissing, his tongue can become an eternal relic." Sun Ganlu shared the example of his favorite writer Naipaul, "People who will find it interesting after reading his books live on this Miguel Street, but in fact the life he describes is staged all over the world, which is a demonstration of the writer's ability."
