Shi Jicun: Laughing alone

The average person often mixes laughter with joy. They think that laughter is an expression of joy, and there must be joy in their hearts before there is a smile on their faces. However, experience tells us that after rejoicing, we do not necessarily laugh, and laughter does not fully express the joy of the heart.

The joy of not laughing, we call it dark joy; the joyless laughter, there are many kinds, the ridicule of the people, the laughter of women, the sneers of the adulterers, we always call the fake laugh, or the skin laugh.

These nouns are very vivid, so we often quote them without feeling that there is anything wrong with them. But today, I suddenly have doubts about them. Since you can secretly rejoice, why should you laugh at it?

Joy is merely faithful to your personal emotions, and if you have to express your joy with laughter for others to feel, then that joy is very unfaithful to you. I thought that only dark joy was true joy, and that joy that needed to be expressed with laughter was very problematic.

Therefore, any laugh that expresses your joy is a gesture made for the sake of others, and it is not necessarily a real laugh. Since we have denied what ordinary people think is true laughter, it is naturally difficult to determine the names of all laughter.

At this point, you may ask me, but what is the real laughter? Let me answer you! This is the "laughter" that I want to praise. Have you ever laughed alone when or where there was no one around?

If you have ever had this experience, you will surely understand that this kind of laughter alone is the real laughter you have toward yourself. If we say, this laughter is the authentic laughter, the essence of laughter. Maybe it's not an exaggeration?

When we walk in the countryside or sit quietly in the bucket room. We can look at the birds in the distant mountains, or stare at the smoke clouds of paper smoke and smile, smile silently, laugh loudly...

It's not laughing for anyone, laughing for no emotion, not even laughing for any role or attempt, simply, just laughing because we want to laugh.

No one is speculating from your smile across from you. Beyond all understanding and misunderstanding, this is the most appropriate, the most cheerful laughter. Perhaps, it may be a flood of some kind of joyful emotion, but at least it is not a gesture for others.

We should separate laughter from joy, or at least alienate them. Biologists have also told us that laughter is just a physiological response to fatigue, and when our muscles are weak, we can smile just as we can stretch a lazy waist.

I don't know when it started. People just stretch out and don't laugh, so they forget the real laugh forever and use it as a dramatic expression.

There have been many people with laughter in history, and my township sage Lu Shilong is the most famous one. But he finally laughed at Jia, and I think this may be the reason why he loves to laugh in front of others.

Laughter is not always welcome, and sometimes the disaster you get from a smile may be more serious than what you get from an angry face.

Unfortunately, Lu Shilong did not understand the taste of laughing alone, if he could close the door and laugh in the study. It will not offend many people, and perhaps it will be able to avoid the scourge of killing.

Nietzsche's book once recorded that the cynic Mai Sun once suddenly laughed alone. People ask, "No one is with you, so why are you laughing?" Mai Sun Yue: "That's why I laugh." ”

Every time I read this verse, I always find it very interesting, because he explains very clearly the meaning of laughter. I think that a person who can really laugh must not want to show his smile in front of others.

But in China, there will be exceptions to everything. Even if you learn to laugh alone, sometimes there are dangers. During the Song Dynasty, Cai Zhizheng once composed ten poems of An Lu, among which there was a sentence cloud: "Sleeping up wanran into a solo laugh, several fishing flutes in the waves." This is a famous sentence that we have read well in a thousand poems for a long time.

We think, this should always be the realm of the poet beyond things, right? This should not offend anyone, right? But not! Pingzhou Ke talked about a story, when Wu Chuhou wanted to frame Cai Zhizheng, that is, he wrote a note to note this poem, thinking that the author had a grudge, and Cai Zhizheng actually sat down.

Wu Zhu said in the clouds: "I don't know what Cai Is smiling at this time?" "Oh, such a provocation, of course, the Emperor of the Zhao Family became angry." Really, what more do you have? Do you dare to laugh at me at home? Get me out!

Although the pen of adultery is terrible, in our country, laughing alone is not necessarily a very stable behavior, which is also evident from this example. As the saying goes: "Sit behind closed doors, and evil will come from heaven." "Sit like this, and laugh?

I originally wanted to write a small article to praise and laugh, but there was a big way to write it here, and the article could not be written. If we are not even allowed the right to laugh alone, then let us — what should we do?

I think there may only be two ways: one is to keep a straight face and not smile from now on, and the other is to simply laugh forever, laughing like an idiot. You can pick one of the two. Otherwise, although you close the door and laugh alone, don't make poetry and painting offerings.
