I have read two of them and have deeply felt it: first, "Chronicles of Mr. Shi Jiancun" (edited by Shen Jianzhong, Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 2013); second, the newly published "Beishan Lou Golden Stone Ruins" ("Beishan Lou Tibetan Stele See zhi zhi bibliography" and other three, East China Normal University Press, 2021). The former is often at hand, sometimes with a mozzie; the latter has just received a book, the paper and ink are fragrant, and the scrolls are displayed to watch, which is brilliant and dazzling. Both books are extremely powerful works, and the authors have spent a lot of effort, and it is difficult for later people to bypass them. As a member of the scholarly staff at that time, my previous understanding of Mr. Was only a single perspective of personal contact. After reading Jianzhong Brother's book, I have a relatively complete understanding of mr. Jianzhong's achievements and disposition in life. The scope of his studies is extensive, and it has undergone several changes, and it is difficult for beginners to hope for them. I would like to start with his name and the "four windows" described in his later years to identify the general direction of his learning and disposition.

Mr. Shi Jingcun's name and "four windows" | Zhang Wenjiang

The names of Mr. Shi Jicun are mainly as follows: the scientific name Depu, the name of the house, and the word 帓存. Lord Of the Plum Shadow Xuan, Master of the Bi Peach Blossom Poetry Room, Shu An, Wu Xiang Ju Shi, Kitayama (Chronicles, p. 1). Dozens of pen names have been derived from this, most of which are based on this program. The test division is as follows:

The scientific name is Depp, the name of the house, the word stings. The words of the I Ching Qiangua 92: "See the dragon in the field, see the lord." The Elephant said: "See the dragon in the field, Deschpu also." And the "Wen Yan" said: "See the dragon in the field, Shi Sheye." The name was mr. Father, who, according to the Chronicle, quoted the visitor, said to himself: "This name determines the code of conduct for my life: stinging to save." (ibid., p. 2)

He was born on December 1, 1905, on the fifth day of the first month of november in the year of the first lunar calendar. Zodiac snakes, so take the elephant dragon, people in the past, often belong to the snake as a small dragon. There are six dragons in the Qiangua Liuyao, ranking two, so take nine two. Yi 95 days and 92 earth, "the snake is the dragon on the earth" (ibid., p. 2), so take the qianjiu two words. The scientific name Depp, taken from the 92 "Elephant", implies the surname "Shi". The name of the house, taken from the "Wenyan" 92, is the place of existence.

Sting, take the "Line of Words": "The bend of the inchworm, in order to seek faith." The sting of the dragon and the snake to survive also. Essence is in the spirit, and it is also used. The letter is stretched, the sting is bent, and Yu flipped the note: "Sting, hidden, the dragon lurks and the snake hides." At the beginning of the yin breath, Sunda is a snake. At the beginning of the yang breath, the earthquake is a dragon. Kuncheng in October, revived in November. Xun Xun is underneath, and the dragon and snake are stinging. Chu Kun is the body. Therefore, the sting of the dragon and the snake, in order to survive also. "It corresponds not only to the Year of the Snake, but also to November. The surname, first name, and word are all completely corresponding, which shows the depth of the old learning and cultivation of the name holder. Later, the image of this name, the development of Mr. Secretly, cannot be said to be without magical elements.

Xun Shuang also noted in the "Department of Resignation": "To metaphorically yin and yang qi succumb to faith." Hou Guo's note: "If you don't bend, you don't believe, if you don't sting, you don't exist, then you sting and then benefit from it." That is to say, it should change from time to time, survive in winter, and startle spring, so that it can be used in the human world, and the word "time" in "Elephant" should be used. Yu's recognition of "shi" is not yet about avoiding evil, but about a person's life, "always having to do something" (Yang Gang's letter to Mr. Shi on April 21, 1940, Chronicles, p. 443). This language is low-key and firm, and Mr. Li often said in his later years, which is not only the wind and bone of that generation of scholars, but also the inherent requirement of "Deschpuye".

Moving on to look at the other names: 宮庵, which is directly derived from the name. And the non-phase dweller, using the Diamond Sutra "no self phase, no one phase", seems to have nothing to do with the name, and carefully experienced, there is still an internal connection. Those who have no phase do not dwell in the phase. Mr. Wang's learning, with many achievements, does not stay in a certain field, corresponding to this name. In terms of life, he encountered many ups and downs in his life and was able to see clearly, and when he talked to people, he often revealed clear insights, which also corresponded to this name. In his early years, he dabbled in Buddhist scriptures, such as reading the Buddha's Book of Practices in 1933, also known as the "Praise of the Buddha's Book" (Chronicles, p. 233). In his later years, he said in his letter, "Now I have changed my name to 'she' or 'what'. 'Shi, whatever', I only give things to others, not take things from others. (Chronicles, p. 2) "Shi, what", "what" is suspected to be "捨". The ancient word "She" ("Shuowen" 亼部) "捨" ("Shuowen" hand) is two words, with different meanings, which have been simplified into one word in modern times. Here or for the sake of recognizing the handwriting, if you speak in the Shanghai dialect, the sound of "what" and "捨" is close, and the listener is also prone to error. In the Buddhist view, "giving, giving", that is, giving alms. The Diamond Sutra says: "Bodhisattvas have no abode to give alms, and merit is inconceivable", which is consistent with the Zhou Yi "Deshi Puye".

Mei Yingxuan lord and bi peach blossom poetry room master, for mr. middle school era, later no longer used. Mei Dong and Tao Chun, for the literary and artistic heart of Mr. Wang's youth, guided him to the path of literature. These two numbers, or corresponding to his novel poetry creation. The novel focuses on the early decade (1926-1936), the first attempt to write, the talent is carried forward, and it is amazing to the world. The poems continue throughout their lives, and the eighty poems of the "Floating Miscellaneous Verses" in their later years are deep and timeless. Twenty years of "gratifying, deplorable, frightening, and ridiculous things" ("Notes"), or implicitly using the preface to the Second Edition of the Old Remnant's Travels, in the fifty years "things that can be startled, gratifying, sung, and wept".

The pen name used for the longest time is Kitayama, and the shosai is also known as Kitayama Tower. From 2011 to 2012, East China Normal University published the Complete Works of Shi Jicun (not the entire works of Mr. Shi), which consisted of ten volumes, and the person named "Beishan" actually had as many as four kinds of eight volumes, accounting for the absolute majority. This number is not only a portrayal of the actual life of the gentleman, but also a manifestation of his temperament and thoughts.

"Beishan" is a classic of the Southern Dynasty Kong Zhijue's "Beishan Shifting Text", which means to satirize the pseudo-hermit, and the corresponding Mr. Temperament is clean and self-righteous, and has high ambitions. In China in the twentieth century, there were all kinds of turmoil, and there were many people who later suffered unfair treatment, and they also treated others unfairly in their early years. Only a few have remained innocent throughout, and Mr. Li should be one of them. Taking the name of "North Mountain" as a sign, he is not determined to live in seclusion, but he is fundamentally a member of the WTO and has actively done many things. When his old friend Shao Xunmei was killed, Mr. Yi had funded it. This was never mentioned by the gentleman, but later from Shao's daughter (Chronicle, p. 793).

Specifically named Beishan, from the Anti-Japanese War period, Mr. Taught at Xiamen University in Fujian Province. The school is located at the foot of the North Mountain, because it is called. After returning to Shanghai, during the ten years of turmoil, he lived in a cottage facing north, and at this time, the Beishan Building was a cottage of only a few square meters built on the balcony, and the inscriptions accumulated over the years were stored in it. The real corresponding to the study of the North Mountain should be the North Window, which involves the widely spread "four windows" theory.

The "four windows" theory originally came from chance, and after Mr. Li was discharged from the hospital in 1984, he improvised it during the small talk of the guests. Mr. Li's original work and rest has always been in the north-facing pavilion, and the work and meeting guests often sit on the flush toilet. In the 1980s, the state implemented the policy and moved back to the original South Room, where there are floor-to-ceiling long windows, which are much brighter. The term "four windows" was novel and lovely, and was later adopted and published by newspaper reporters (November 5, 1985, "Shuxun Bao", Ge Kunyuan," "I opened four windows in my life"—"Visit to Professor Shi Jiecun of the Department of Chinese of East China Normal University", "Chronicles", p. 1166), which soon spread and became a brief summary of Mr. Shi's achievements in life. However, according to the hint of Jianzhong Brother, the popular version in society is not yet the original words of Mr. Jianzhong.

The "four windows" theory is roughly the creation of new literature in the east window, the study of classical literature in the south window, the translation of Chinese literature outside the west window, and the interpretation of the golden stone stele version of the north window. Mr. Zhang's more accurate original words can refer to Ding Yanzhao's record: "My literary life has four aspects, and the four-sided window is specially used as a metaphor: the east window refers to the study of oriental culture and classical Chinese literature, the west window refers to the translation of Western literature, and the south window refers to literary and artistic creation." I am a southerner, and there is a tradition of Chu culture in my creation, so it is called the South Window. Also, in recent decades, I have not been able to do other things, and I have turned my interest to the Golden Stone Tablet, which has opened another north window, which is an unpopular science. (July 16, 1988, Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, Ding Yanzhao, "Beishan Loutou's 'Four-sided Window'-Visiting Shi Jiecun", Chronicle, p. 1251)

Comparing the difference between the two statements, it is mainly the translocation of the east window and the south window. I understand the original meaning of Mr. Sir, the east window and the west window are the contrast between China (including the East) and the West. The south window is a creative divergence, but also a dark guide to the people; the north window is a collection of antiquities, but also symbolizes the cold door. The popular saying is that the south window is the east window, focusing on the initial literary beginning. Mr. Shi's early creations, from poetry to novels, wrote a series of excellent works such as "The General's Bottom Head", "Shi Xiu", "Kumarosh" and so on, which influenced the times. Taking this as a starting point is also logical.

If it is east and south, although there is a misreading, it seems that it does not need to be corrected. The gentleman did not approve of this, but with his open-mindedness, or when he laughed it off, he did not think it was wrong. Jianzhong Brother's "Foreword on Behalf" mentioned ("Beishan Lou Jinshi Ruins" I, p. 14), when the "Beishan TanyiLu" was printed, the cover of the original sample book mistakenly printed the "sting" in Mr. Wang's name as "sting", and the publisher apologized in surprise and immediately changed the cover to correct it. Sir didn't think it was too much of a waste. Zhuang Shengyun, "one regards oneself as a horse, one takes oneself as a cow" ("Ying Emperor"), it does not matter if the name is written incorrectly, "Four Windows" originally has an element of joke, what is the point of misinformation? Are there fewer cases of mr. misinformation in his life?

The collection and collation of the North Window Science, initially from hobbies and hobbies, and later out of necessity ("other things can not be done in recent decades"), finally became the destination of learning. There are eight appendices to Jianzhong Brother's "Relics of the Golden Stone of the North Mountain Tower", which shows the formation process of the North Window And the connection between the various parts. In particular, Appendix VIII, which mentions the selection and compilation of the "Ancient Texts of shi ji Cun", will have as many as twelve volumes if completed, which shows the depth and breadth of this study. The North Window and the North Mountain or the North Mountain Tower form a wonderful correspondence in time, space and even temperament.

The similarities and differences between the two statements are also noteworthy. The mention of oriental culture in Mr. Li's original words shows that his vision is not only concerned with classical Chinese literature, but also has a broader content. For a long time in the twentieth century, the comparison of Eastern and Western cultures was one of the main trends in academia, and it was impossible for Mr. Li not to be affected. In the gentleman's name, it contains "Depp" and "Sting". "Sting" has been done and "Depu" has not been revealed, can not help but be related to the times, "Yi" ninety-two after all, there is still "world civilization" Oh, when the attention is more far-reaching. The study of the South Window, corresponding to the Chu cultural tradition, is worth digging deeper. As for the content of the "West Window", it has not yet been displayed in the current "Complete Works", how will it be arranged in the future? Mr. Xixue's translation of Western studies, after several twists and turns, how to understand the ups and downs and changes in them? Thoughtful consideration is also required.

The four-window theory does not yet fully summarize Mr. Mister's main achievements. In addition to being a representative of the Shanghai school culture, he has at least one identity, that is, the editing career he has been engaged in all his life. In his early years, he became known as the editor of the magazine "Modern" and influenced the trend of literature. In his later years, he edited the Lexicology series, as well as the Selected Foreign One-Act Plays, which also promoted the development of culture. When guiding students in employment, he often recommends editorial and publishing directions. As a result of his guidance, several students went to the publishing house and made outstanding achievements. The main contribution of Jianzhong Brother's "apprentice" ("Beishan Lou Golden Stone Ruins" I, "Foreword"), is also in the compilation of books. When I graduated that year, my husband wanted me to work as an editor, but due to various circumstances, I embarked on a different path.

Speaking of himself, Shi En is unforgettable, the preface and deeds, bit by bit in the heart. Before graduating and leaving school, Mr. Shi talked to me about two points: First, writing articles should start with small articles. Second, a person's main social relations should not be within his own work unit. This should be a summary of Mr. Mister's life experience, although I did not do it, but I still often think about it and recall the meaning of it. For a while after graduation, every time I saw my husband, he shouted my name and said, what about what do you write? Show me. Twenty years after his death, the voice is still in my ears, it is encouragement, it is a spur, a warning that I dare not slacken off.
