Lu Yao, formerly known as Wang Weiguo, was born on December 3, 1949 in Wangjiabao Village, Shizuiyi Town, Qingjian County, because of many brothers, parents could not afford to support, in 1957, that is, when Lu Yao was 7 years old, he succeeded to his uncle's house in Guojiagou, Yanchuan, and for more than 20 years, this is Lu Yao's real home. He lived and grew up here, and it was also from this humble mountain village that Lu Yao developed the idea of literary creation, and since then he has been unreceivable and has gone to the peak of the Chinese literary scene.
There are many brothers and sisters in Lu Yao, not to mention reading and going to school, even life is difficult to take care of. One spring morning in 1957, my father took Lu Yao to Shizuiyi Town to spend a dime to drink a bowl of oil tea, and led him out of his hometown, over the mountains, wading across the river, begging all the way to Guojiagou. When his father left, Lu Yao knew it, but he did not make a sound, let alone beg his father to take him home, because he knew that the days of going back would be more difficult. From then on, Lu Yao studied and went to school here, herded sheep and cattle, took out bird eggs, caught squirrels, dug wild vegetables, and helped his uncles and aunts to do what they could.
The uncle farmed, the aunt begged, and the family of three lived a difficult life. Lu Yao finally realized his desire to go to school, and was admitted to Yanchuan County Middle School and entered the Chinese Department of Yan'an University. The Liangjia ravines, mountains and rivers in the Guojiagou area have left the footprints of Lu Yao's childhood and youth, the simple elders here, childhood playmates, interesting facts in the countryside, anecdotes and legends, as well as the noble sentiments, pure hearts, rigid instincts, hard work, selfless dedication, together with the high heavens and thick soil, mountain springs and streams, mountains and stones, all make him unforgettable and unforgettable, and quietly sow the seeds of literature, and gradually germinated literary creation, the idea of being a writer, it can be said with certainty, Guo Jiagou created certain conditions for Lu Yao to enter the palace of literature.
Heading south along the path into the village, an elegant mountain village appears in front of you. The outreach board displays Lu Yao's creative experience, Lu Yao's family tree, and a brief introduction to his life. In the center of the courtyard stood a bronze statue of Lu Yao, and I saw him with his right hand in his trouser pocket, a cigarette in his left hand, looking ahead, with a solemn and thoughtful expression. Showing a stubborn and unyielding and awe-inspiring appearance, people can't help but miss and awe.
On a bluestone next to the bronze statue, the following text is engraved: "Although I was born in Qingjian County, I actually grew up in Yanchuan and grew up in Yanchuan." So I have the deepest feelings for Yanchuan. In my consciousness, Yanchuan is the hometown, the homeland...", this passage truly shows Lu Yao's attachment and love for Guojiagou. I think that in the novels "Life" and "Ordinary World", most of the vivid pictures, vivid images of characters, life backgrounds and materials are taken from this place.
Lu Yao began his creative attempts when he was in middle school, and he entered the Chinese Department of Yan'an University in 1973, during which he began to create real literature. After graduating from university, he served as the editor of Shaanxi Literature and Art (Yanhe). In 1982, he published the novella "Life", describing the life pursuit and tortuous experience of the rural intellectual youth Gao Garin, which caused great repercussions, won the second National Excellent Novella Award, and after being adapted into a film of the same name, it won the Best Feature Film Award of the 8th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Award, which was famous throughout the country.
In 1988, Lu Yao completed his million-word masterpiece "Ordinary World", which is a novel that presents contemporary urban and rural social life in a panoramic manner. Based on the loess land, the author portrays the image of many ordinary people from all walks of life through complex contradictions and entanglements. Labor and love, frustration and pursuit, pain and joy, daily life and huge social conflicts are intricately intertwined, profoundly showing the difficult and tortuous road that ordinary people have traveled in the course of the history of the big era. "Ordinary World" won the Mao Dun Literature Award in one fell swoop, which is a great affirmation of Lu Yao. Unfortunately, at 8:20 a.m. on November 17, 1992, Lu Yao died of illness in Xi'an at the age of 42.
Luyao Cultural Park is composed of three parts: Lu Yao's Former Residence, the Hall of Chinese Literature, and the Reproduction Shuangshui Village, and Lu Yao's Former Residence is composed of mountain flowers blooming, remembering Lu Yao, brilliant life, Lu Yao Library, "Ordinary World" and "Life" comic book exhibition hall, screening room, seminar and exchange room, reading room, primary school and brigade department. The Hall of Chinese Literature has a cinema, exhibitions and commemorative exhibitions, academic seminars and exchanges, literary and artistic activities, cultural and leisure plazas and supporting facilities. Shuangshui Village has a creative base, scene reproduction, mountain flower ecological book garden, infrastructure, cultural sports trails, etc. Walking into the cave exhibition halls, the exhibits are displayed one by one according to categories, reproducing Lu Yao's growth process, here are displayed Lu Yao's childhood photos, photos of studying in the Chinese Department of Yan'an University, and Lu Yao's group photos with Beijing Zhiqing, as well as his lover and wife Lin Da.
The cave also displays many magazines such as "Mountain Flower", "Yanhe", "Flower City", "Harvest", "October" and so on, as well as calligraphy and paintings and inscriptions related to commemorating Lu Yao from all walks of life. Here are old and simple, mottled walls, old doors and windows, caves with crutches, and old objects from the countryside in northern Shaanxi such as stove hot pot counters, old bowls and porcelain urns, pots and pots, and agricultural tools and bedding used by Lu Yao's adoptive parents, making people suddenly return to the unforgettable years at the beginning.
On a wall in the center of the courtyard is written the first paragraph of the first part of "Ordinary World", which I memorized: On an ordinary day in February and March 1975, the fine rain silk with a little snowflake was dripping towards the earth. The season is almost to the point of shock, of course, the snow will no longer remain, and often before it can land, it has disappeared without a trace. The harsh and long winter of the Loess Plateau seems to be over, but the truly warm spring is far from coming. This is the true description of the season in northern Shaanxi, which is located in the remote hinterland of the loess, and it can be seen that Lu Yao feels the same way, observes, and experiences it in detail and profoundly.
In a cave, there was an inscription book, mostly after visiting Lu Yao's former residence, I was excited, and immediately picked up a pen to write: "Ordinary world, solid life" ten big characters. When they learned that I was also a Luyao admirer and a writer, the staff respected me and took photos with me, exchanged phone calls, and added WeChat. They were very enthusiastic and told me some of Lu Yao's untold stories. When parting, shake hands and say goodbye. I think this is a feeling, this is a tacit understanding, because there is a common worship, a common hobby, the same interests, so it is very fateful to talk.
Opposite the village is a small ravine, with babbling streams, abundant water and grass, and springs gathering into small ponds where small fish swim and ducks play in the water. Following the path to the bottom of the ditch, there is a square stone cave that gathers the spring water of Qinglingling, and a stone monument is erected next to it, with the inscription "Wensi Spring". The spring flows silently, the spring water comes from the stone crevice, ticking, sometimes forming a line, sometimes a bead, unhurried, unhurried, gathered in the pool, and plays a magnificent symphony.
I leaned down, filled a cup, and drank it, and the spring water was sweet, refreshing, and pleasant. This spring water is the drinking place of the name of Guojiagou Village in those days, I think that in those days, every morning, or at dusk, the fathers and old folks of Guojiagou Village would meet to come to the spring to fetch water, of course, Lu Yao was also among them. At this time, I suddenly thought of an idiom "text like a spring", yes! At that time, Lu Yao absorbed the nutrition of mountain springs, planted the genes of literature, cultivated the seeds of literature, and wrote brilliant masterpieces.
