In order to inherit and carry forward the municipal intangible cultural heritage - Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo, on May 19, Xinjing Town held a special music teaching activity at the Community Party and Mass Service Center (Community Cultural Affairs Center). The world-famous conductor Tang Muhai came to the scene to guide the young musicians to interpret the Jiangnan silk and bamboo repertoire, so that the traditional art can be rejuvenated under the interpretation of the younger generation.
In the afternoon of the same day, the comprehensive activity room of the Xinjing Town Community Party and Mass Service Center (Community Cultural Affairs Center) sounded with the pleasant sound of silk and bamboo, where the first teaching activity of the Xinjing Town Youth Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo Team was being carried out. The world-famous conductor Tang Muhai is intently guiding each young musician to rehearse the Jiangnan silk and bamboo repertoire.
Tang Muhai, the only Chinese conductor to win a Grammy Award, has served as the permanent conductor of the Central Orchestra, the artistic director and chief conductor of the China Symphony Orchestra, and an honorary professor at the Central Conservatory of Music. He is concerned about the popularization of music education and the inheritance of Chinese music. In the face of China's music treasure trove, he hopes to do his part to cultivate the younger generation, lead folk music to the world, and let the charm of Chinese traditional music be inherited and spread more widely for a longer time.
It is understood that as one of the municipal intangible cultural heritage projects, Jiangnan silk and bamboo has been widely spread in Xinjing Town, with a deep mass foundation and many non-governmental teams. In 2023, with the active support of the Municipal and District Federation of Overseas Chinese, the "Tang Muhai Cultural and Art Exchange Center" will land in Xinjing Town, and a series of high-quality cultural activities such as the "Beating Melody" Xinjing Town Community Children's Instrumental Music Competition will be launched to continuously meet the public cultural needs of community residents.
This year, the public welfare cooperation between Xinjing Town and Tang Muhai Culture and Art Exchange Center has been deepened, relying on the famous resources of Tang Muhai Culture and Art Exchange Center, the "Xinjing Town Youth Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo Team" has been recruited and established for the whole city. Through the establishment of a youth Jiangnan silk and bamboo team, excavation and sorting of Jiangnan silk and bamboo repertoire in Xinjing area, and the development of Jiangnan silk and bamboo repertoire orchestration, a series of tireless explorations have injected new vitality and vitality into Jiangnan silk and bamboo in Xinjing Town, so that Jiangnan silk and bamboo will bloom again in Xinjing Town.
