On August 25, 1928, Wang Erzhuo, a senior and outstanding general of the Red Army, was killed while pursuing traitors, when he was only 25 years old.

Wang Erzhuo was a general that Mao Zedong deeply valued, and his sacrifice plunged Mao Zedong into grief.

Wang Erzhuo: The brave general of Jinggangshan, he died heroically while pursuing traitors, and his daughter died of illness at the age of 20

At Wang Erzhuo's memorial service, Mao Zedong personally drafted and Chen Yi personally wrote a picture of the elegance, which read:

"One cries Erzhuo, the second cries Erzhuo, Erzhu is now gone, but who bears the heavy responsibility?"

Born as a class, died as a class, how about after class? Wait until the victory begins. ”

Wang Erzhuo's sacrifice was a huge loss, both in the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and in the Chinese Revolution. If Wang Erzhuo had not sacrificed himself and had been revolutionized until the founding of New China, his rank would have been not low when he was awarded the rank in 1955.

Wang Erzhuo was born on January 23, 1903 in Shimen County, Hunan Province.

In 1920, Wang Erzhu went to the Attached Middle School of Hunan Higher Industrial School, where he came into contact with progressive thinkers and made a great change in his thinking.

Under the influence of progressives, Wang Erzhu began to accept revolutionary ideas and participated in revolutionary activities, so that he could move step by step towards the revolutionary road.

In May 1924, Wang Erzhuo was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy and became the first cadet of the Whampoa Military Academy. At that time, the director of the political department of the Whampoa Military Academy was Zhou Enlai, and because Wang Erzhuo's revolutionary consciousness was firm and he had accepted revolutionary ideas before, he received special attention from Zhou Enlai.

Under such circumstances, in order to make Wang Erzhu stand in the ranks of the people, Zhou Enlai often propagated the idea of communist revolution to him.

Wang Erzhu did not live up to Zhou Enlai's expectations, and under the guidance and influence of Zhou Enlai, he eventually embarked on the road of communist revolution and joined the Communist Party of China.

In October 1925, the National Revolutionary Army carried out the Second Crusade. The victory of the National Revolutionary Army's Crusade not only unified Guangdong in basic form, but also provided a good rear support foundation for the Northern Expedition after the National Revolutionary Army.

During the Second Crusade of the National Revolutionary Army, Wang Erzhuo participated in this war, when he was the battalion commander of the National Revolutionary Army.

After the victory of the Eastern Crusade, the revolution in Guangdong was unified and stabilized, and the revolutionary situation showed a very good situation, under such circumstances, the revolutionary government of Guangdong decided to send troops to the Northern Expedition to eliminate the Beiyang warlords.

In May 1926, the Ye Ting Independent Regiment of the Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army, as well as a unit of the Seventh Army, rushed to Hunan as the vanguard of the Northern Expedition.

On July 9 of the same year, the National Revolutionary Army, with a total of 8 armies and about 100,000 people, swore an oath in Guangzhou, and the Northern Expedition officially began.

During the Northern Expedition, as an outstanding cadet of the Whampoa Military Academy, Wang Erzhu naturally participated in the army, when he served as the party representative of the 3rd Division of the 3rd Army of the National Revolutionary Army and the commander of the 26th Regiment.

Because of Wang Erzhuo's outstanding performance, he gradually entered Chiang Kai-shek's sight.

Chiang Kai-shek felt that Wang Erzhuo was a rare general, so he wanted to win him over so that he could use him for his own use. Therefore, in the spring of 1927, Chiang Kai-shek sent people to promote Wang Erzhuo to the rank of official, and said that as long as he followed the principal, he would be allowed to be a military commander.

The military commander was indeed a very high official, and such a high-ranking official Houlu was indeed very tempting, but it did not impress Wang Erzhuo. Because Wang Erzhuo was very firm in the communist revolution at this time, he also saw Clearly Chiang Kai-shek's personality and believed that Chiang Kai-shek would soon defect to the revolution.

Therefore, Wang Erzhu did not turn to Chiang Kai-shek because Chiang Kai-shek promised his high-ranking official Houlu.

When Chiang Kai-shek saw that Wang Erzhuo was unwilling to use it for himself, he decided that Wang Erzhuo was a rare general, and since Wang Erzhuo was unwilling to use it for himself, it could not be used by the Communist Party, so Chiang Kai-shek decided to kill Wang Erzhuo.

Fortunately, Wang Erzhu knew in advance of Chiang Kai-shek's order to kill him, so he left with a group of Communists.

Soon after, on April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek launched the "April 12" counter-revolutionary coup in Shanghai. After this incident, the land of Shenzhou was suddenly plunged into a severe white terror environment, because the Kuomintang reactionaries began to arrest and massacre revolutionary volunteers and Communists, causing countless Communists to die under the butcher's knife of the Kuomintang reactionaries.

At this time, the Kuomintang reactionaries were mercilessly slaughtering revolutionaries and Communists. In order to resist the massacre of the Kuomintang reactionaries, to save the Chinese revolution, and to show the firm determination of the Communist Party of China to carry the Chinese revolution through to the end, the Communist Party of China united with the leftists of the Kuomintang and decided to arm an uprising, that is, the Nanchang Uprising.

In July 1927, Wang Erzhu and Zhou Enlai went to Nanchang together to participate in the preparations before the outbreak of the Nanchang Uprising.

On August 1, 1927, Zhou Enlai, Ye Ting, He Long, Zhu De, Liu Bocheng and others led the uprising troops to launch an uprising in Nanchang, and the Nanchang Uprising broke out.

The outbreak of the Nanchang Uprising fired the first shots of armed resistance against the Kuomintang reactionaries, and also enabled the Chinese Communist Party to begin to lead the armed struggle independently and to create a revolutionary armed contingent. Although the Nanchang Uprising ultimately failed, its role was crucial, and it is worth affirming.

At the beginning of the Nanchang Uprising, Wang Erzhuo served as the chief of staff of the 74th Regiment of the 25th Division of the 11th Army of the rebel army.

Later, after the rebel army was heavily besieged by the enemy, Wang Erzhuo followed the rebel army south to Guangzhou. However, on the way, in order to cover the main retreat of the rebel forces, Wang Erzhu stayed with Zhu De to guard the Sanhe Dam to block the enemy, and after three days and nights of fierce fighting, Zhu De and Chen Yi led the remnants of the rebel army to break through.

It was this time that the remaining troops led by Zhu De and Chen Yi broke through became the armed flame of the Chinese revolution and left the basic force for the Red Army to carry out the revolution to the end.

Soon, the main force of the rebel army was severely damaged by the enemy, and Zhu De led Wang Erzhuo and the remnants of the rebel army to fight around on the border of Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong and Xiang.

During this time, Wang Erzhuo was brave and strategic in battle, and completed the task many times, so that he was valued by Zhu De.

Zhu De found Wang Erzhuo a rare general, so in early 1928, Zhu De promoted him to chief of staff of the 1st Division. At the end of April 1928, Wang Erzhu arrived at Jinggangshan with his troops. After that, he threw himself into the construction of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base area.

Soon, Wang Erzhuo served as the chief of staff of the Fourth Army and the commander of the 28th Regiment, and assisted Mao Zedong and Zhu De in commanding the battle, making him a general under Mao Zedong and making him one of the important generals in the early days of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

However, it is a pity that it is this brave general who unfortunately died.

At that time, because of the hardships of the Red Army, many soldiers deserted. On August 25, 1928, Yuan Chongquan, commander of the 2nd Battalion of the 28th Regiment of the 4th Army, led his troops by means of coercion and inducement, suddenly changed the route of the march and surrendered to the enemy, defected and fled.

At this time, Wang Erzhuo was also concurrently serving as the commander of the 28th Regiment, and besides, Wang Erzhuo and Yuan Chongquan were not only fellow villagers, but also classmates of the Whampoa Military Academy, so he thought that he could chase the troops back, so he took people to pursue Yuan Chongquan.

When Wang Erzhu led his troops to yuan chongquan, he thought that yuan chongquan would take into account the feelings of his fellow comrades in the same village and would listen to his own advice. Taking a step back, yuan Chongquan would not do anything to himself even if he did not listen to his own advice.

However, what Wang Erzhu did not expect was that Yuan Chongquan did not care about the friendship between their comrades in the same village, and he took advantage of Wang Erzhuo's lack of attention to even shoot several shots, resulting in the heroic general of Jinggangshan and the heroic sacrifice of Wang Erzhuo, an important general in the early days of the Red Army.

He was only 25 years old when he died.

If Wang Erzhuo had not sacrificed himself and had been working for the revolution until the founding of New China, then when he was awarded the rank in 1955, his military academy was naturally not low.

Wang Erzhuo had a wife named Zheng Fengcui during his lifetime.

Zheng Fengcui was a year older than Wang Erzhuo, born on August 1, 1902, and the two of them were engaged since childhood. They married in 1923.

However, Wang Erzhuo and Zheng Fengcui had only been married for more than three months, and Wang Erzhuo said goodbye to his beloved wife in order to study at the Whampoa Military Academy and to realize the revolutionary ambition in his heart.

At that time, Zheng Fengcui was already pregnant, and although Wang Erzhuo was reluctant in his heart, he still needed to leave.

When Wang Erzhuo left, he said to his wife Zheng Fengcui: "If you give birth to a son, you will have a dependency in the future, and you will be named After Picking." If you give birth to a daughter, you will have a companion in the future, so you will be named Guifang. ”

Wang Erzhuo's meaning when he said this was obvious, for the sake of the country, he could not take care of his home. For the sake of the revolution, he had already repaid the heart of death, and had no intention of returning alive. Therefore, Zheng Fengcui gave birth to a son and had a backer. Having a daughter, there is a companion.

After Wang Erzhuo left, Zheng Fengcui gave birth to a daughter in September 1924.

After the birth of her daughter, Zheng Fengcui named the child Wang Guifang, Wang Erzhuo was not at home, and the care of the child naturally fell on Zheng Fengcui's body.

After Wang Erzhuo died on August 25, 1928, although Zheng Fengcui, as his wife, was sad, he resolutely supported the affairs of the family for the sake of their family, not only raising his daughter alone, but also taking care of his in-laws.

In the turbulent and chaotic era at that time, a woman shouldered the responsibilities of the old and the young, and the hardships of life could be imagined.

However, when her daughter Wang Guifang grew up, unfortunately it happened again.

When Wang Guifang was 20 years old, it was the year of her youth, but it was in this year, that is, in 1945, that she died of illness.

The most painful thing in life is that the white-haired person sends the black-haired person. The sudden death of her daughter Wang Guifang plunged Zheng Fengcui into extreme grief.

After Zheng Fengcui lost her daughter, she had no relatives around her, so she inherited a child from the clan.

However, then misfortune came to her again. Because after the outbreak of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Zheng Fengcui's adopted son went to the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and as a result, he was sacrificed.

In this way, Zheng Fengcui once again lost her relatives.

In 1988, the elderly Zheng Fengcui died of illness, completing her arduous and tortuous life at the age of 85.
