No matter how profound and correct a wisdom is, it needs to be under the corresponding conditions to function, and if the dogma is solidified without regard to the objective environment, then the role of this dogma must be negative.

Wisdom does not lie in the difference between profundity and superficiality, but in its application, and what is appropriate is the most correct.

In life, there is often such a phenomenon: many people either excessively pursue a certain kind of dogma, or blame a certain kind of wisdom without reason, such a phenomenon is made without considering the objective environment of the prejudice conclusion, any wisdom needs to be based on the corresponding basis to play a role, if only blindly aimed at the dogma itself, then such cognition must be superficial and biased.

There is a saying in the "Liezi" that says: And the world is impermanent, and things are impermanent.

The meaning of this sentence is that there is no eternally correct truth under the heavens, and there is no eternally wrong thing, and all truths need to be based on the right one.

Zhuangzi made a living by weaving straw shoes all his life, and poverty is also the main theme of life, and the survival problem caused by poverty has naturally become the first major problem in front of him.

Once, because his family was poor, Zhuangzi went to borrow living expenses from a friend of his, who was also the local Jianhe Hou.

Zhuangzi walked over to JianheHou and said to him, "Can you lend me thirty gold to save the emergency?" ”

Jianhe Hou said very cheerfully, "Yes, but I don't have it now, and I can lend you three hundred gold after I collect taxes from the people." ”

Zhuangzi listened very angrily and said, "When I came yesterday, I heard someone calling me on the way, and after looking for half a day, I found that there was a small fish in the shallow pit of the wheel print, and I was about to die of thirst, and I asked this little fish, 'What can I help you?' And the little fish said, 'Can you get me some water to drink?' I said to the little fish, 'Yes, but I don't have any water now, and when I go to the south to lobby King WuYue and ask for the water of the West River, I will come to welcome you back to the sea,' and the fish said angrily: 'Then you might as well go to the shop that sells dried fish tomorrow morning to find me'." ”

The meaning of Zhuangzi's words is: I borrow thirty gold from you is exactly what I urgently need, and what you want to give me is the future three hundred gold, although three hundred gold is more, but it cannot save my current urgency.

Things that are not suitable for the present moment are necessarily not correct.

There is no absolute truth in the world, only the right thing that meets the conditions of the moment is just right, and if it is large and unreasonable, then the big is really useless, just like a cow cannot catch a mouse.

Therefore, any wisdom can only play a role under the corresponding conditions, just as the so-called "those who gain the time will prosper, and those who lose the time will perish", those who conform to the timing can prosper, and those who go against the trend of the times can only perish.

Before planning things, a person must not only be familiar with the things he wants to plan, but also know the preconditions for the existence of the things he plans and the basis of the environment.

Planning the outcome on the basis of conditions is the most important thing, and if in the process of ignoring the basics, it is only a vain effort.

There is a sentence in Sun Tzu's Art of War called:

Therefore, those who will be able to benefit from the land of the nine changes will know how to use soldiers; those who will not be able to understand the benefits of the nine changes, although they know the terrain, they will not be able to gain the benefits of the land.

If the general can master the use of various machine changes, he will know how to use troops, and if he cannot master the use of various machine changes, although he understands the terrain, he will not be able to obtain geographical advantages.

Just as the so-called use of soldiers is like water, the law of using soldiers is like the flow of water, avoiding high and low, flexibly using troops according to conditions, every victory is the result of the use of wisdom, and the way to win each time is different.

Therefore, no doctrine is universal, and it is not possible to blindly follow dogma rigidly, and of course it is not possible to deny the existence of any dogma at will, because wisdom can only play its greatest role if conditions permit.

The Shi family of the State of Lu had two sons, one who loved Confucianism, one who loved the art of war, and who loved Confucianism, went to Qihou and was reused because he was good at Confucianism; those who liked the art of war went to the Chu State and were reused by the King of Chu because they were good at the art of war.

The Meng family, a neighbor of the Shi family, also has two sons, one also loves Confucianism and the other loves the art of war, and they are very envious of the Shi family's wealth, and they also learn from the Shi family's two sons.

Therefore, one of the sons of the Meng family ran to the King of Qin and suggested that the King of Qin use Confucianism to govern the country, who knew that the King of Qin not only did not accept it, but angrily punished him; and another son of the Meng family went to weiguo in an attempt to persuade the king of Wei to rule the country with soldiers, and the weak king of Wei also angrily punished him.

After returning home, the Meng family father and son were very sad, so they went to the Shi family for advice.

The Shi family father and son said to him: "Those who conform to the opportunity will prosper, and those who disobey the trend of the times will perish, although we learn the same, the effect is different, this is because the violation of the times, it is not that there is anything wrong with the practice, only to cater to the opportunity, seize the opportunity is the manifestation of wisdom, if the wisdom is insufficient, even if like Confucius erudite, like Jiang Taigong good use of the art of war, will eventually be poor."
