There is such a story in "Liezi":

The old man said, "There are many reasons why I am happy, and everyone has them, but they are grieved." Because I didn't work hard when I was young, and I didn't have the luck when I grew up, I was able to live like this, because I didn't have a wife and children when I was old, and the time of death was approaching, so I was so happy. ”

Zigong also said: "Longevity is what people yearn for, and death is what people hate, so why are your views different?" ”

The old man said, "Death and survival are like going back and forth, so how can we say that life and death are not equal, and how do we know that the struggle for survival is not a kind of confusion?" ”

The most correct way in life is not to interfere with the natural state of life with your subjective emotions, not to let emotions infringe on the body and mind, and not to bring harm to yourself because of your own arrogance, which is the best preferential treatment for life.

Worldly people are pursuing deeds and pursuing fortune every day, so constantly acting through their own subjective means seems to be a positive effort, but when their own arrogance deviates from the objective laws, it disturbs the mind and causes harm to the body and mind; and the worldly people are very afraid of death, but they do not know that the emotion of fear itself is the greatest harm to life.

Born into death, there are three out of ten who are born; there are three out of ten in the dead; and there are three out of ten in the vividness of man in the place of death. Why? With its raw thickness.

For example, we will use our subjective ingenuity to seek benefits for ourselves, but under the deception of greed, we will blind our own vision of the problem, and in the case of our own lack of reason, the decisions we make may not be right, and sometimes even deviate from the bottom line of law and morality.
