The name "Wang Li" is not his real name, it is a pen name he gave himself in 1943 while working in Shandong, and his real name is called "Wang Guangbin". Perhaps, even he could not have predicted that the pseudonym "Wang Li" had become his symbol and synonym, so that he didn't know who it was when he mentioned "Wang Guangbin".
In January 1968, when Wang Li was transferred to Qincheng Prison, the organization issued an order that Wang Li should not be interrogated. This meant that he was not sentenced, but he also spent 14 years in prison in Qincheng. It was not until January 28, 1982, that Wang Li took off his prison clothes, walked out of prison, was officially granted citizenship, and returned to the life of an ordinary citizen.
At first, considering Wang Li's previous fame and safety after his release from prison, he was placed in a ministerial compound on Wanshou Road in Beijing.
Because it is a ministerial compound, it is not uncommon for sentries to rotate guard at the gate 24 hours a day. But for Wang Li, who has just come out of prison and has lived in prison for 14 years, there are sentries standing at the gate 24 hours a day, as if he is still in prison. Wang Li and his wife Wang Pingquan lived in a new home, which is a brand new two-bedroom apartment, although the area is not very large, only about 40 square meters, but for the old couple, it is also very satisfying. His wife Wang Pingquan is also old, and she takes care of her husband by herself, which is obviously a little difficult, so the Wang family hired a young girl in her early 20s as a nanny.
Daily cleaning, grocery shopping and cooking are handed over to the nanny, and Wang Pingquan mainly has to accompany her husband to the hospital every three to five. Because Wang Li was diagnosed with cancer in the mid-80s. From this beginning, he spent the rest of his life fighting the disease.

After being released from prison, Guan Feng was arranged to live in the family compound of the "Red Flag" magazine, and considering that he had no job and no source of income, he was given a living allowance of 150 yuan every month. After about three years, this subsidy has increased a lot, to 500 yuan. In the late eighties, that $500 was not a small amount.
At the end of the eighties, Guan Feng's treatment was finally finalized, and his treatment was the responsibility of "Red Flag" magazine. Of course, "Red Flag" had been changed to "Qiushi" magazine at that time.
After discussion, the magazine "Qiushi" said that because Guan Feng's official position was not low in those years, it was equivalent to the level of director, so he was finally given a bureau-level treatment for retirement. Guan Feng's housing, salary and other benefits in his later years were all under the management of Qiushi magazine.
In fact, when Guan Feng was first released from prison, he did not want to stay in Beijing, and when he was old, he wanted to return to his roots and return to Dezhou, Shandong to live.
The hometown learned that Guan Feng had the idea of returning to his hometown, so he first built him a new house in Texas, which was a two-story single-family building. It's just that later, because of his weak health, Guan Feng had to be hospitalized from time to time, which dispelled the idea of returning to his hometown.
Compared with Wang Li and Qi Benyu, Guan Feng's income in his later years was quite good, and in addition to his fixed salary every month, he also had his own manuscript fees.
Yan Changgui is Guan Feng's proud protégé, and in the eighties, the two lived together in the family compound of Qiushi Magazine, and the two were not far apart, and they often walked around. On June 7, 2005, 86-year-old Guan Feng died of illness, and died at the age of 85.
In his later years, Qi Benyu went around in circles and became a librarian
Qi Benyu, who has the title of "Qi Dashuai", is actually the youngest of the three Xiucai, he is 10 years younger than Wang Li and 13 years younger than Guan Feng.
However, he won two points before he won the title of "Qi Dashuai", one is that he is tall and typical of Shandong man; Second, because he has a good eloquence, when his career is brilliant, he often gives public speeches, which is very infectious. Therefore, his followers also called him "Qi Dashuai".
Qi Benyu's education is not high, his serious education is only high school, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he went to Peking University for further study in 1951. After his studies, he returned to Shanghai and worked as an ordinary librarian in the Shanghai Library. In August 1968, that night, Qi Benyu personally sent Guan Feng and Wang Li to the night of Diaoyutai Building 2, although he was not affected for the time being, but seeing the lonely back of the "Wang Guan" duo, perhaps, he also expected his own end.
In January 1969, Qi Benyu was also sent to Qincheng Prison.
Unlike Wang Li and Guan Feng, Qi Benyu was the one who was formally sentenced, and on November 2, 1983, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison. When he finished serving his sentence and was out of prison, Qi Benyu was 54 years old.
Because he had completed his sentence, he was arranged to work in the Shanghai Library for the rest of his life, a librarian decades ago when he was 19 years old.
However, although he was a small librarian, he was assigned a separate office. When Qi Benyu went to work, he usually closed the door and wrote in the house by himself. He is still the same character of the year, with a bold personality, not very slender, and in the summer, he wears a vest and is in good spirits.
After being released from prison, Qi Benyu lived with his wife Qiu Yunying, and he had more contacts with his younger daughter, and his relationship with his younger daughter was also quite deep. During the years when he was seriously ill, it was also his youngest daughter who took care of him at the hospital bed.
In the early nineties, Qi Benyu officially retired and began his life as a literati. At that time, he was in charge of history at Hongqi Magazine, and his title was the head of the history group, so in his later years, most of the articles he wrote and published works were also history.
Qi Benyu was 85 years old when he died, on April 20, 2016.
