Zhong Wei also has another name "China's Patton", calling Zhong Wei so, in fact, it is also because he can fight and win battles, in 1947, in the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army's Three Lower Jiangnan Campaign, Zhong Wei was the commander of the Fifth Division of the Second Column.
In March, Zhong Wei received orders from Lin Biao to cross the Songhua River in the south and cooperate with the 1st and 6th Columns of Dongye to encircle and annihilate the first part of the Kuomintang New First Army in the Dehui area, Zhong Wei was ordered to set off immediately, and when the troops came to Paoshantun, they suddenly heard the chaos of Jiangjiatun and Wang Kuidian in the southwest, and after reconnaissance, two battalions of the 262nd Regiment of the enemy 87th Division were stationed here.
