At 4 p.m. on September 19, 2021, artist Li Jing's solo exhibition "Denture Volcano" opened at the 798 Author Gallery.
The exhibition features 22 of Li Jing's latest works from the past two years, most of which come from her creations after she arrived in South Korea. The works show the artist's observation and thinking about modern society in different time periods, emotionally blend macroscopic and microscopic perspectives in a parallel construction way, connect spatial concepts and scenes of daily life, and create a group of characters who communicate with each other in different spaces, swimming between illusion and reality, and ultimately caring about the relationship between people in the group. At the beginning of 2019, Li Jing went to live in South Korea. Due to the sense of rupture of the external environment and the extreme belief and dependence on the creation of works, she pays more attention to the relationship between people and things in the real world. Many emotions and memories, faint or intense, will be used as visual expressions that are easily accessible and perceived, culminating in a contemplative and illusory scene.
