In December 2014, the 3D movie "Wise Tiger Mountain" directed by Xu Ke was released nationwide. In the middle of winter, Daniel Zhang, who lived in the Lotus Pond Dry Rest House of the General Political Department, asked the soldiers to buy movie tickets and braved the cold to enter a nearby theater. At this time, 54 years have passed since the novel "Lin Hai Snow Field" was first put on the screen, and the heroic "Shao Jianbo" was already an elderly man.

The forest and sea snow field in the depths of memory - visit the famous film performance artist Daniel Zhang hand

In the 1960 movie "Lin Hai Snow Field", Daniel Zhang Hand (left) plays Shao Jianbo, and Wang Runshen (right) plays Yang Zirong.

In September 1957, Qu Bo's novel "Lin Hai Xueyuan" was published, and Liu Peiran, the director of bayi Film Studio, was overwhelmed after reading it, and he remembered the past of his unit in the northeast to suppress bandits, so he got in touch with Qu Bo and decided to choose the most wonderful fragment in the novel, "Wise Tiger Mountain", to adapt it into the movie "Lin Hai Xueyuan". Daniel Zhang Hand, a young actor who had just been transferred to the Bayi Film Studio, was selected as the role of Shao Jianbo, the chief of staff of the regiment.

Although he was only 26 years old, Daniel Zhang hand was already worthy of being called a "veteran" -- at the age of 14, he was admitted to the PLA's camp school, then entered the cultural and industrial regiment, followed the troops to liberate Taiyuan, then marched west, crossed the Yellow River, and fought from Tongguan to Xi'an and Baoji to liberate Chengdu; when the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea began, he rushed to Korea to devote himself to war work. Although I did not directly participate in the fight against the bandits, I understood the difficulties of the bandits, the bandits brazenly smashed and burned the JEEPs of the People's Liberation Army in the streets, and one of our organization ministers was killed by the bandits in an extremely cruel way, and I also witnessed the tremendous strength of the masses of the people uniting together to suppress the bandits." After reading the script, Daniel Zhang hand was very excited, and the role of Shao Jianbo was so familiar to him. However, he was also nervous, and he used to play all the grass-roots cadres of our army, and this was the first time to play a regimental cadre. Daniel Zhang hand recalled that Qu Bo once visited the actors in the crew, talked about his experience in suppressing bandits, encouraged the actors, and communicated with Daniel Zhang hand. "The prototype of Shaojian Wave is QuBo: 'Shao' means young and promising, 'Sword' means sharp, and 'Wave' is Qu Bo's name. This is the image of a young and energetic chief of staff of the regiment who is brave and resourceful, good at doing mass work -- from this, I determined the creative idea. At that time, Daniel Zhang engaged in film performance for only three years, and there were not many theories and techniques to speak of, only to carefully study the original work, repeatedly chew every line in the script, and figure out how to express the heart of the character with his eyes. The handsome, heroic, wise and courageous Shao Jianbo, played by Daniel Zhang hand, has been fully recognized by Qu Bo, and has also left a deep impression on the audience, becoming popular and becoming a classic military image on the screen.

In the story of "Outwitting the Tiger Mountain", Yang Zirong, a reconnaissance platoon leader with rich experience in revolutionary struggle and both wisdom and courage, is the absolute protagonist. Yang Zirong is played by Wang Runshen, who is also in the Bayi Film Studio, who is also from the People's Liberation Army Cultural and Labor Troupe, familiar with the life of the army, plus his early experience, and has a unique understanding of this role. Daniel Zhang hand and said, "Wang Runshen's father was a storyteller, and he himself could also talk about traditional bibliographies, which were very wonderful and often made us listen to them." He also studied martial arts and had a chivalrous spirit. The reconnaissance platoon leader dressed up as a bandit could not be disguised without two shots. He is the only one in this role. ”

In the opponent play with Yang Zirong, Daniel Zhang hand likes this the most: just when Shao Jianbo hesitated about how to outwit Weihu Mountain, Yang Zirong disguised himself as a bandit and pushed the door in, Shao Jianbo understood Yang Zirong's intentions, and the two immediately opened a wonderful dialogue with black words between bandits, and then decided that Yang Zirong would pretend to be a bandit to break into the interior of Weihu Mountain. In order to present the best performance effect, before filming, Daniel Zhang hand deliberately avoided Wang Run's bandit appearance, so that there was the surprise, clarity and hesitation that flashed in The moment Yang Zirong entered the door. This smooth performance also made the two of them addicted.

In the eyes of Daniel Zhang Hand, the scene where Yang Zirong first entered the bandit nest and was interrogated by the bandits was a classic: "Heavenly King GaidiHu!" "Pagoda Town River Demon!" "Pheasant stuffy drill, which can go up the Heavenly King Mountain!" "There's rice on the ground, hey, there's a root!" Director Liu Peiran absorbed the elements of traditional Chinese opera, making the plot tense and relaxed, with a great sense of rhythm, making people feel as if they heard the gong and drum points of the opera in a tense atmosphere. Later, when director Xie Tieli filmed the Peking Opera film "Wise Tiger Mountain", he repeatedly watched and carefully watched this plot in the movie "Lin Hai Xueyuan", and sighed to himself, thinking that every sentence and rhythm handled by Liu Peiran was exquisite and rigorous to the extreme. ”

The meticulous carving of details and lines also stems from the democratic atmosphere and consultative spirit of the crew. When filming the scene where Yang Zirong was decided to go up the mountain, Daniel Zhang hand suddenly thought that the small detachment was far away from the large troops, and it was even more important to emphasize the leadership of the party, and such an important decision should be discussed by the organization. Liu Peiran said that this suggestion was good, but considering that there were too many meeting scenes in the movie, he added a line when shooting: "Comrade Zirong, such a major problem can only be implemented through the study and study of the branch committee." Later, in the Peking Opera film "Wise Tiger Mountain", Shao Jianbo also had this sentence in his lyrics: "It is also necessary to discuss and decide with the committee to defeat the enemy with collective wisdom." ”

The film "Lin Hai Snow Field" began filming after the Spring Festival in 1960. By the time we arrived at the Jilin location, the snow in the forest had begun to melt, and in order to create a real snow scene, all the cast members went up the mountain to carry snow. "At that time, the temperature was very low, and we went to the location on an open-top train carrying wood, and after getting off the train, our legs were frozen and unable to move, and we moved for a while to regain consciousness. At night, Wang Run and I lived in a school, there was no fire in the room, we slept on a pile of ula grass, and in the morning the quilt was full of ice slag. Fending off the cold in winter, when they returned to Beijing in July to shoot the interior scenes, the actors had to suffer another kind of pain: "In the middle of summer, they wore leather jackets and roasted fires, and they had to pretend to be cold, and it was full of sweat." ”

It was a difficult three-year period, and everyone's rations were extremely limited. When filming the scene of "Hundred Chicken Feast", the chicken was specially approved, how precious, everyone obviously could not really eat, and after a few days, the scene was all filmed, and the meat was steamed. Rumored to be a joke is that the "silly big" actor Li Po designed a plot for himself to eat stick bones: "silly big man" came down from Weihu Mountain and went straight to the river temple, must be hungry, Lao Dao took out a few stick bones to nibble on him, while nibbling while saying. In this way, the characters are more vivid. Director Liu Peiran approved of Lipo's design, and found a superior to approve four pounds of sauce stick bones, and Lipo began to eat from rehearsal and ate until the official shooting. Liu Peiran suddenly realized: "Hey, you want to eat meat." ”

The most pleasing scene in the film is the warriors dressed in silver robes, stepping on skis, and walking through the vast forest and sea snowfield, which is very beautiful. In order to cooperate with the shooting, the troops invited the athletes of the Bayi Ski Team, and they completed the alpine speed skiing in the long-range, and the close-up skiing shots were performed by the actors themselves. In order to learn to ski, many actors fell blue and their faces swollen.

Although the shooting conditions were difficult, the crew had the support of troops, forest farms, and fellow villagers everywhere they went, and everyone did not feel bitter. In the eyes of Daniel Zhang, the pressure at that time was not material but came from the spiritual level - how to make the film well and live up to the expectations of the motherland and the people's army. The crew has always maintained a high morale and fought on the snowfield of LinHai.

For more than half a century, the novel "LinHai Snow Field" has been continuously adapted into various art forms, which make Daniel Zhang hand look back at the forest sea snow field in the depths of memory again and again. Today's film and television production technology and creative concept are not the same as those of that year, but in the minds of Daniel Zhang, the emotion contained in the 1960 version of the movie "Lin Hai Xueyuan" is the purest and most simple - it pins on the people who have just come out of the smoke of war, the most sincere and deepest nostalgia for the combat heroes, and also records the glorious past of a group of filmmakers who "have a sunrise in their hearts" in the early days of the founding of New China who persisted in artistic pursuits and worked together to complete the tasks entrusted to them by the motherland and the people's army.
