"The wind blows my heart" Darkness Xiangjiang water

In the autumn of 1948, Yang Xinhui, a friend of his father-in-law, received a strange Letter from Hong Kong, which did not have the name or address of the sender, and only asked him to forward it to Mr. Cao Xianqin. Who is Cao Xianqin? He was confused inside. Later, Yang Xinhui learned that it was his father-in-law Zhao Shuosheng who changed his name, so he immediately forwarded the letter to Mr. "Xianqin".

This letter from Hong Kong is crucial!

The search for superior organizations has always been the strongest voice of all the fathers-in-law and their "special branch". They tried to find the shanghai and western Sichuan underground party organizations, but they did not succeed due to complicated circumstances.

They learned from the newspapers that the enemy was hunting down two "fat men," one surnamed Deng and the other surnamed Xiao, saying that they were important players in the Chongqing underground party. Father-in-law pricked up their ears and tried to inquire about the two men to analyze whether they were leaders sent by the organization.

Father-in-law also found out that the party's Southern Bureau had moved to Hong Kong, and his old leader Zhu Yujin was also there. But how can we relate to it? In the name of Cao Xianqin, he tried to write a letter to his best friend, "a fellow traveler", and the editor of the cultural supplement of Hong Kong's Ta Kung Pao, Lo Cheng-hoon, quoting a Tang poem "The ruins of the homeland are here, and he wants to travel to the old place", saying that he is very lonely and misses his friends in Hong Kong very much. Rover understood, and replied: "The four seas are not wide, but there are a few people in this language." He also said, "The Rongjun who inquired about him knew his whereabouts." If you come to Hong Kong, please bring a little 'Mrs. Douban' by the way, so it is not easy to get. After reading it, father-in-law also understood that Luo had contacted his former old superior, Zhu Yujin, and Zhu asked him to go to Hong Kong immediately. He immediately wrote back to Rover, using Li Bai's poem "The wind blows my heart, hanging on the Xianyang tree in the west", suggesting that he will set off as soon as possible. (Note: See "Beijing Life in Rover's Diary " Part 1 ) , 2020 issue 6 of Palm Magazine)

Now that I think about it, it was really not easy for the underground workers of the party back then, not only needed to be clever and sharp, high intelligence, high emotional intelligence, and sometimes had to have deep literary accomplishment and guessing skills, otherwise the reaction would fall into the abyss if they reacted a little slowly.

In a later article, dad described his feelings about receiving the letter from Hong Kong: "Like a long-lost child who will see his mother again, we are extremely fortunate that we are about to restore contact with the party's leadership organs." It produced a feeling that the long cold night was nearing its end. ”

In mid-November 1948, my father-in-law flew from Chongqing Baishiyi Airport to Hong Kong and crossed the clouds and the sea to find "relatives". The moment he saw the old leader Zhu Yujin, his nose was sour, and they all saw their own faces that had been devastated by time in each other's consternation. "Just live!" Zhu Yujin turned his back and wiped his tears.

Zhu Yujin, for Chongqing is a family-like name. He served as a clerk in the Chongqing office of the Eighth Route Army and the acting head of the youth group of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he successively served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Youth League, director of the Propaganda Department, president and editor-in-chief of the China Youth Publishing House, director of the Education Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, director of the Shaanxi Provincial Publishing Bureau, and a leading member of the preparatory group of the China Encyclopedia Publishing House. In that year, it was under his strong support and promotion that the novel "Red Rock" was published.

Father-in-law could not wait to report to Zhu Yujin on the serious damage to the party organizations in Chongqing and eastern Sichuan, and Zhu Lianlian sighed... Two days later, Zhu Yujin brought a leader of the Southern Bureau. The leader, who is in his 30s with a Jiangsu and Zhejiang accent, clasped his father-in-law's hand tightly and said, "Suffer!" It's good to be alive! The Southern Bureau is also anxious to re-establish contact with the underground parties in Chongqing and eastern Sichuan, so that the party will suffer less losses. You are the first person to come to Hong Kong on behalf of the Chongqing Party organization. That's great! You have finally given us a full understanding of the current situation in Chongqing! ”

This leader succinctly and concisely assigned specific tasks to his father-in-law: First, go back and connect with Deng Guangming, deputy secretary of the Chuandong Special Committee (that is, "Deng Fatzi"), as soon as possible, and then the "special branch" on the south bank will be led by him; second, he will inform Deng Guangming and Xiao Zekuan (that is, the two responsible persons of the enemy's wanted "Xiao Fatzi" and who was then the secretary of the Chuandong Special Committee) to have a joint in Hong Kong as soon as possible; third, convey to Deng Guangming the documents of the superiors on "The Current Situation and the Tasks of the Party in Eastern Sichuan." He also mentioned that the June 1st Society, which was united by the "special branch" on the south bank of Chongqing, should be changed into a "New Democratic Youth Society"...

He rubbed his hands and said to his father-in-law with a long sigh: "Your coming to Hong Kong may have been exposed, and it is not appropriate to return to Chongqing according to the convention." But at present, you are the only one in Chongqing, and you need to go back to Chongqing to convey all the deployments of the organization. Therefore, after much deliberation, we still decided that you would return to Chongqing immediately. Good comrade, thank you organizationally! But because of the dangers, you have to be more careful. Documents cannot take away pieces of paper without a word, you carefully understand, memorize, and when you go back, you will relay it to Comrade Deng Zhaoli with your memory..."

Until old age, the father-in-law can still recite this document in one breath. This is not only because he has a memory beyond ordinary people, but also because every word has already been burned into his heart. The problems pointed out in the document have caused the underground parties in Chongqing and eastern Sichuan to pay a terrible price, and he has personally experienced all this--for example, the party organizations in some areas hastily raised the banner and launched large-scale armed uprisings, and the result is that they have caused irreparable losses and sacrifices to the party and party members.

Father-in-law and Deng Guangming finally took over at the "Suitable Commercial College" in Hualongqiao. The rainy night in Chongqing in December was already chilly, but the two men who were still wearing thin jackets were extremely excited, and they only felt that the time of such a knee-length conversation was as warm as spring.

Deng Zhao's eyes burned and he said to his father-in-law: "Thank you for contacting the Southern Bureau for all of us, which is a blessing in disguise for the current work in Chongqing and eastern Sichuan!" ”

Father-in-law was even more mixed: "From my point of view, leading a small team, after 8 months of lonely struggle, I finally connected with the local party's leading body, it was like the reunion of relatives after the chaotic separation, a long-hanging heart was put down, and the feeling of being alone disappeared." Not to mention that the lighting comrades are enthusiastic, resolute and astute, giving people a sense of maturity with a lot of experience. ”

In fact, at that time, Deng Guangming was not yet 30 years old, and his father-in-law was only 26 years old. They have the most luxurious and precious thing in the world - young! Their young and handsome gods are endless.

This conversation between Father-in-Law and Deng Guangming comes from Father-in-Law's long article "Unforgettable 1948", which was published in the first issue of "Red Rock Spring and Autumn" in 1992. At the time of publication, my father-in-law had been dead for nearly half a year. That is to say, at the end of his life, what my father-in-law deeply tied up was still the people and things he believed with in his youth...

In late March 1949, Deng Guangming asked his father-in-law to meet at a teahouse in Liziba, and solemnly conveyed the decision of the organization to his father-in-law, nominating him to serve as a representative of Chongqing to the first congress of the New Democratic Youth League, diverting from Hong Kong into the Liberated Areas, and reporting the situation in Chongqing to the relevant leaders.

This time, the father-in-law flew to Hong Kong with the joy of welcoming the liberation of the whole country. He not only had an exciting reunion with his old leader, Zhu Yujin, but also met a "manager's aunt". She smiled and raised her hands gracefully and handsomely. She is the eldest sister of Qian Ying, a well-known legendary figure with outstanding leadership skills on the party's secret front.

Father-in-law vividly recorded the impression of meeting Elder Sister Qian Ying for the first time: "Sister Qian is a middle-aged man, wearing a well-tailored, plain-colored cheongsam, with a slightly thin face, a serene and kind demeanor, but a heroic atmosphere is faintly revealed between her speech and demeanor. When I relayed the contents of the report dictated by Deng, she smoked a cigarette and listened intently. In a few strokes, the father-in-law wrote about this elder sister Qian, who was highly respected in the party. After that, her father-in-law followed her, detoured through Yantai, Jinan, tianjin, and in mid-April reached the coveted Beiping, and the group lived in Zhongnanhai.

Father-in-law slept in Zhongnanhai the most solid sleep in all these years. When he woke up, he also dared to breathe and laugh loudly. When the staff there heard that they were from the kuomintang area, which was still shrouded in white terror, they were particularly affectionate. Once the father-in-law went to the cooking room to open the water, met an old Red Army cooker with gray sideburns, learned that the father-in-law was from Chongqing, and the old man grabbed his hand and did not let go: "Well, young man, you are also about to come out of the pain, it is not easy." ”

During the first congress of the New Democratic Youth League, Gong Dad met Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai and other party leaders, and shared with delegates from all over the world the joy of the night when the People's Liberation Army conquered Nanjing, and they danced and burst into tears.

And this experience is most memorable for his father-in-law to listen to many of the teachings of Qian Ying's eldest sister, and Qian Ying has also become one of the mentors he worshipped in his revolutionary career.

There was one thing that made My Father-in-Law toothless and unforgettable. In Hong Kong, he unexpectedly received a fee from the Ta Kung Pao and bought a "555" brand cigarette to enjoy it. When he was in a meeting with Qian Ying's eldest sister, Qian Ying saw his "555", smiled and handed over a cigarette and said: "Xiao Wu (at that time, my father-in-law was called Wu Bin), and exchanged smokes." What was handed over was the "old knife" card, the kind drawn by the lowest-level talents in Hong Kong. Father-in-law's face turned red, and he received a silent inspiration: Sister Qian Ying was still harsh on herself in the materialistic world of flowers and flowers.

Later, on the way to Beiping, she repeatedly warned her fellow travelers: "Wherever we go, we should not pretend to be victors and engage in specialization." He also said: "The leading figures who truly stand in front of the trend of the times must be recognized by the masses, and should first and foremost be the sons of the people." ”

To be "son of the people" has become a motto that has been accompanied by the years after the father-in-law. It seems that the voice of The elder sister Qian Ying, who calls him "Xiao Wu, Xiao Wu", always sounds in his ears, which makes him, who is a little sharp in nature, always remember that he is just a drop of water from the ocean. The water was crystal clear. However, what happens when you frantically try to leave the group? Will disappear! Father-in-law said, how dare I?! End

In September 1988, his father-in-law resigned from his post as secretary general of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress. Jin Lie, then director of the Organization Department of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor, spoke with him on behalf of the organization.

Jin Lie asked, "What are the requirements for the organization before leaving?" ”

Father-in-law replied with a smile: "Some people regard the party organization as a 'bank', and their work experience is that they have saved money in this bank, and when they retire, they have to withdraw their money with profits." And I didn't have any money in this 'bank', so I didn't have any requirements for the organization. ”

Comrade Jin Lie's words touched and sighed, and he quoted them more than once at relevant meetings in the future.

According to the values of some people now, the father-in-law who once carried his head for the birth and death of the party was very "suffered a loss" - until he left retirement, he was not in a high position, nor did he have a glamorous fame and fortune, nor did he have a lot of money...

Indeed, the father-in-law was a poor old revolutionary and official: in the late eighties, he could not afford to buy an 18-inch color TV, so he had to raise a few hundred yuan per person to buy it from his children for a "huge amount of money" of 1500 yuan, and then deducted himself in various ways, and it took more than a year to pay it off. He is the kind of person whose "debts" must be repaid. My father-in-law was only 69 years old when he died, which was deplorable. The family rummaged through the boxes and cabinets and could not find a slightly "high-end" dress for him to bury, and finally let him wear the old "dress" of Su Ri's home. The "dress" was actually a labor security suit issued by the son's factory - a wool-blended Zhongshan suit. He has been wearing this Zhongshan suit for seven or eight years.

Father-in-law loves to say, "When people have a thought, the heavens and the earth know it." He also said, "Man's anger is compared with others, and the key is to take what he uses as a reference." Which of the martyrs who lie beneath the land of Mount Gole is not a young and talented man? Some people are rich men and ladies, if they say that if they fish for these worldly things, what do they get, and are they worth it? But when a person comes to the world, he must complete a mission. Our generation has overthrown a dark and decaying regime, and we have embodied the value of our lives..."

Good man Father, this life has turned the river upside down, great love and great hatred, living into the breeze on the river and the grass and trees in the wilderness with countless lives, never giving up faith because of the threat of life and death, never giving up on self-abandonment because of the ups and downs of fate, always enthusiastic, calm, sad and compassionate. No matter what kind of mountains and rivers he encounters, he has a secret place - his own hobbies: the talk of calling friends and friends, the habit of reading, the obsession with literature and history, and the natural closeness to all youth things! In addition to his rich knowledge, full of economics and treacherous life stories, his wealth is to have sincere and talented friends from all walks of life, including teachers, students, drivers, typists, cooks, writers, poets, painters, media people, historians, archaeologists, experts in the history of the underground party history in Chongqing and eastern Sichuan... He and they are cause and effect, and he feels sorry for each other. They let his days be filled with steaming pyrotechnics, and they were high and soaring...

For thirty years, Zhao's father-in-law has always been a topic of great interest in our "Luo family courtyard": we will tell that he often gathers his juniors in the middle of the night to tell historical stories, but when he gets up in the morning, he makes ping-pong everywhere and wakes up the sleep of the people in the house; he always rushes to wash the dishes and wipe the table after dinner, but he wets his sleeves, and he has to have his mother-in-law to "fill in the leaks"; talk about his mouth, love snacks, sneak into the candy store after work to buy some strange "fragrant aromas" such as beans, and chew all the way without anyone It is said that his temper is violent like the arrival of the god of thunder, arguing with his son and his subordinates like the autumn wind sweeping away the fallen leaves, but in the blink of an eye, he is "cleaned up" by his grandchildren with a kind face, patient and bursting, always speaking softly, and shooting very "generously"... What an interesting soul!

If the father-in-law born in 1922 were alive, he would be 99 years old, only one year younger than the birth of the Communist Party.

In a trance, I saw the figure of my father-in-law shaking "diligently" - carefully touching and cleaning up the dishes, pouring the leftovers of the large bowl into the small bowl, putting the small bowl into the plate... Then wipe the first table with a hot rag, a second time with a rag that penetrates the dish soap, and a third time with a hot rag... We all sat there, large and small, watching the old man shuttle between the kitchen and the dining table, busy with hot water to wash dishes... Everyone is at ease, just talk and laugh... And I don't see him as a "person made of special materials", I just think that he is just a "glutinous old man" who spoils his wife and darling grandchildren...
