The heroic leader of the blood-sprinkled Ji'nan: Li Lin

At the beginning of 1937, his superiors transferred Li Lin to study at the Central Party School in Yan'an. In the spring of 1938, Li Lin, who had returned from studying at the Central Party School, served as the secretary of the Guangwei Central County COMMITTEE of the Communist Party of China. Under his leadership, the whole county mobilized from top to bottom to control the sand dunes, plant fruit trees, develop the economy, and improve the people's livelihood; at the same time, the party organizations were straightened out and developed, the peasants were organized, the anti-Japanese guerrillas were established, and the weixian democratic government was also established. In April, Li Lin was appointed political commissar of the Independent Detachment of the Eastward Column of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and soon became the commander of the First Sub-district of the Ji'nan Military Region, leading the anti-Japanese struggle behind enemy lines. Within a year, he led the establishment of democratic political power in Zhao County, Gaocheng, Luancheng, Shulu, Jinxian, Ningjin, and other counties, so that the guerrilla brigades and independent battalions of the sub-districts in various counties were armed with more than 700 people, and the base areas were gradually consolidated and expanded.

At the beginning of 1940, Li Lin was appointed as the commander and political commissar of the 25th Regiment of the New Ninth Brigade of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army. He led his troops in the battle of the railroad. In the area of Xueta Town, Wei County, with lightning speed, it launched a counterattack against the three units of the Kuomintang recalcitrant Shi You, and drove them out of Southern Ji. On July 26, he commanded his troops to skillfully lay an ambush, and in just ten minutes he annihilated more than 100 puppet troops and more than 40 Japanese troops. The commander of the 129th Division praised the campaign for creating an example of rapid and crisp annihilation of the enemy in the plains. Combat units were commended by a general order from the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army. Since then, when the Japanese puppet army heard the word "Li Lin," it was all terrified.

In the autumn of 1940, in order to smash the enemy's "cage" plot, the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army decided to launch the Hundred Regiments War. The mission of the New Ninth Brigade was to break the Deshi Railway. Li Lin led the main force of the 25th Regiment to break the Section from WangQizhuang to Jiacun of the Deshi Railway, and dispatched a company of troops to cooperate with the Jingxian anti-Japanese guerrillas in breaking the Jingxian-Songmen Highway. They pickpocketed railways, blew up bridges, and broke through the battle to achieve fruitful results. On September 16, a large number of puppet troops stationed in Nangong, Dagaocun, and Chuiyang Village acted in unison and launched a surprise attack on the 25th Regiment stationed in Daxinzhuang. Li Lin commanded three battalions to block the attack to the west and north of Daxinzhuang. When he discovered the enemy's intention to divide his forces and surround Daxinzhuang, he decided to withdraw from the battle and move outward. Most of the troops withdrew from Daxinzhuang, and only the second battalion and five companies were blocked in the village by the enemy. The commanders and fighters of the Fifth Company engaged in street battles with the enemy in the face of the enemy's outnumbered enemy. That night, Li Lin led the Twenty-fifth Regiment, with the cooperation of the Twenty-sixth Regiment, to attack Daxinzhuang in one fell swoop, killing and wounding more than 100 enemy soldiers and rescuing the commanders and fighters of the Fifth Company.

On November 1, the Japanese puppet army, which was "sweeping" near Deshi Road, launched an attack on the Twenty-fifth Regiment stationed in Li Qin village. After the battle began, Li Lin led three companies and cavalry platoons to attack the enemy's rear. After fierce fighting, most of the stubborn enemy was annihilated. While cleaning up the battlefield, Li Lin was brutally killed by the enemy.

After Li Lin's death, the New Ninth Brigade of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army held a solemn memorial service for him. In order to express their mourning and remembrance, the masses of the four townships made a golden plaque with four big characters written on it: "Merit in the human world." With the approval of the Special Bureau, Liqin Village was renamed Lilin Village.
