Q: Hello Li Yuan, thank you for your interview with the Education Academy column. Please share with us why you chose the profession of preschool education? What is the motivation for insisting on the road of preschool education?
It has been eighteen years since I graduated and entered the industry, and choosing this career stems from an incident that happened in my childhood - when I was 5 years old, my family conditions were not good, I could not pay tuition after the start of the new semester, and I thought I would never be able to go to kindergarten again. At that time, the teacher in my sister's class gently accepted me, let me follow her class, and treated me and every child in the class equally. At that time, a small seed was planted in my heart at a young age, and when I grew up, I must be like her, as far as possible, so that every child can receive a loving education.
In fact, my childhood experience is not only a memory, but also an important decision that has influenced my life. This teacher let me know that if a person grows up full of love and companionship, he will grow up to be a person who has love in his heart and knows how to love others. This is also the driving force for me to choose the profession of preschool education, and I hope that my children will also learn to love and be loved, and have a healthy and happy life.
Q: After so many years in the preschool education industry, what has this career brought you?
The biggest takeaway from this profession is everyone's smile: the innocent smile of the child makes me happy; the recognition and smile of the parents make me happy. In Wenjiang Garden, we attach great importance to home cooperation, and do not set up a separate reception day for the principal, and parents can come to the park every day to talk and communicate with teachers and principals. Many people will find it difficult to communicate at home because they see the relationship between parents and teachers as "opposites", and we prefer to create a simple and pure warm atmosphere to make the relationship between teachers and parents more intimate - we are educational partners. Of course, the smiles of the kindergarten teachers and staff also made me harvest a strong sense of happiness, giving people roses, handing incense, I believe that everyone will also have such a warm feeling and harvest.
Q: We all know that early childhood is a critical period for children to develop behavioral habits, how do you think parents and teachers should help children develop good behavior habits?
The most critical period of basic education is 0-6 years old, and cultivating children to develop good habits at this stage will have a positive impact on their future growth. Therefore, parents and teachers should reach a consensus, according to the age characteristics of children and individual differences, jointly set goals, such as taking the initiative to say hello, not picky eaters, sleep on time...
The formation of habits is a long-term process, parents and teachers should insist on doing a good job bit by bit, and should be strict with their children in moderation - we must respect the nature of children, but also make children willing to accept and challenge.
Q: Good teachers are a necessary condition for parents to choose kindergartens, as the director, can you share with us how Wenjiang Garden cultivates the teaching team? What are the advantages of our teachers?
Wenjiang Garden attaches great importance to the management of teachers and the improvement of teachers' idealized identity, so that each teacher can enhance their sense of value and gain a sense of achievement: kindergarten is like a home, each teacher is not an independent individual, as a part of the "home", everyone helps each other and creates a warm and happy home atmosphere together. We try our best to let each teacher play to her best and find a sense of self-worth and belonging – for example, the art teacher doesn't just teach the child to draw, we also invite her to participate in the kindergarten's ring design; the dance and physical teacher will lead the team to participate in performances and competitions... Of course, every year we also provide many opportunities to go out to study, in order to improve the professional skills of each teacher.
I can proudly say that our faculty is not necessarily the best, but it must be the most loving. Because we love our children and love ourselves; we sow love and share in love.
Q: We know that each kindergarten has its own unique characteristics, so what are the characteristic courses of Wenjiang Park?
Indjoin Physical Fitness Course is a special course of Wenjiang Garden, which has the following 3 characteristics:
1. Make your child fall in love with sports. Nowadays, exercise has become an important part of health education, indoln physical fitness course in the form of games throughout the entire activity, the process of teachers and peers continue to encourage, so that children feel the joy of sports, so as to truly fall in love with sports and achieve the role of strong fitness.
2. Cultivate children's courage to challenge the quality. Traditional physical activities will make children have to learn some skills, which will actually add a lot of invisible pressure to children. But indrawn physical fitness courses are not aimed at skill development, but give children more time and space to try and challenge. Such as the special projects - roll forward and roll back, let children challenge themselves in trying a variety of tumbling methods.
3. Enhance your child's teamwork. For children, group activities are the bond formed between the individual and the group, and when each exercise is completed, the teacher will lead the children to applaud and cheer together, and celebrate with high-fives. Children experience joy in group activities, but they also increase self-confidence and gain a sense of belonging.
In order to let the children in Wenjiang Park get full exercise, this semester we have increased the allocation of physical fitness teachers, extended the time of physical exercise, and hope that every child in the kindergarten can have a strong and healthy body.
Q: Finally, what are your prospects for the future development of Wenjiang Park?
Since the opening of the park in 2019, Wenjiang Park has experienced a short period of three years, and we still have a long way to go ahead, and I believe that as long as we are down-to-earth, we can go steady and far. In terms of teachers, we will provide children with better education by continuously improving the professional teaching level of employees in various positions; in terms of creating a kindergarten environment, this year we will further expand the physical room and outdoor activity venues to give children a better growth environment. I believe that Wenjiang Garden will become a kindergarten that children, parents and social groups like, recognize and appreciate.
Mr. Ye Shengtao, a famous educator, said: "Education is agriculture, not industry. He told us that in the treatment of children's education, teachers and parents need to work intensively, learn to create superior environmental conditions according to the growth laws of different "crops", and use a heart of expectation that cares for life to continuously guide it and love it. In this way, small "crops" can thrive.
