Dominique Purcell, the star of the DC series "Legends of Tomorrow", announced his departure from the series on Instagram today, revealing his conflict with the studio.

While Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a 7th season, Purcell confirmed today that he did not sign an agreement to secure his return to the series, which has nothing to do with "how much money the company throws out", and he has drifted away from the series from the beginning.

Purcell wrote on Instagram: "The agreement is over, I'm not interested. No matter how much money their company throws out, I'm going to leave Legends of Tomorrow. It was an honor to play the role of Mick Rory of DC Comics. I played this role well, and it was difficult for any other actor in the world to do better than me. But now it's time to leave and look at everything coldly. Katie Lotz, Nick Zano, you guys take care of the kids, they need an education. Tell them not to rely on loyalty to the studio. The studio doesn't care about that. The actor's work ethic and talent give them the confidence to question authority. Love all of you. ”

Purcell played Mick Rory/Heatwave in Legends of Tomorrow and also partnered with Prison Break star Wentworth Miller in the film. Purcell first received the role of Heatwave in "The Flash", and then became a resident role in "Legends of Tomorrow", and also starred in "Infinite Earth Crisis" with "Supergirl", "Green Arrow" and "Batgirl" of the Green Arrow Universe.

Season 6 of Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on May 2, 2021, and many promotional materials still feature Shotsell's heatwave.
