No, there is news that the new BAIC 212 will be released on June 6, and it seems that it also wants to use the fame of "212" to take a share of the hard-core SUV market. Specifically, the new 212 still retains many design elements of the old model, such as the round headlight cluster, the arched hood, the thick front bumper, etc., which is still very recognizable, which makes its hard-core SUV tonality not missing.

It is worth mentioning that the all-new 212 comes with a regular version and a modified version with an additional exterior package. The former is on the plain side, and there is a certain gap between the design and the current mainstream hard-core SUVs, while the latter benefits from the front grille perimeter and black plastic trim decoration, giving the overall feeling that the new 212 is more refined than the old model. Not only that, but the addition of blue paint also makes the new 212's original hardcore look even more stylish.

In order to make the car more playable, the new 212 can also be equipped with optional luggage racks, winch, fog lights, as well as footrests and mirrors with cameras, and as for the tow interface and power-on connector that everyone cares about, the new 212 is not absent.

In terms of power, the all-new 212 may be equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 185kW, which is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Judging from the price of the old 212, the price of the new 212 is expected to be around 100,000. To be honest, such a price is very cheap compared with most hard-core SUVs of its own brand, if you don't pursue comfort and intelligent technology configuration, just just want to play a hard-core off-road vehicle, then the new 212 is still worth buying. In the later stage, even if there are new needs in various aspects, they can also be realized through modification.

At present, the new 212 is about to be released, in the hard SUV market of about 100,000, it is a rare choice, but at this stage, there are very few offline stores selling BAIC 212, both pre-sale and after-sales have brought a lot of trouble to potential users. Subsequently, they will definitely have an impact on the sales of its new cars, which determines that the ceiling of the new 212 will not be too high, it is more of a niche hard-core off-road vehicle, and it will basically not have an impact on the existing hard-core SUV market.
