In 2023, the Paris Mint's "Museum Masterpiece" themed series of commemorative coins continues to be launched. The three selected works are all paintings of women, Delacroix's "Freedom Leading the People", Elizabeth Lebrun's "Marie Antoinette with a Rose" (fig. 1), and Kitagawa Kazuki's "Woman Blowing a Glass Pipe" (fig. 2). Each commemorative coin is issued with gold and silver coins, with the 10 euro colored silver coin being the largest issued, with 3,000 pieces each.
The "Museum Masterpieces" series was launched in 2017, and 15 works have been passed down in the form of commemorative coins. 2017 "Venus with a Broken Arm", Manet "Lunch on the Grass"; 2018 Rodin's "The Kiss", Renoir's "Moulin Rouge Ball"; 2019 "Samothrace's Goddess of Victory", "Mona Lisa"; 2020 Picasso's "Guernica", Katsushika Hokusai's "Surfing in Kanagawa", Van Gogh's "Self-Portrait"; Vermeer's "The Girl with the Pearl" in 2021, Salvador Dalí "The Eternity of Memory" (Figure 3); Monet's Water Lily Pond in 2022 (Figure 4).
