Recently, the official image of the new Renault Captur was officially released. The car is positioned as a small SUV, and the overall appearance adopts the latest Renault family design language. The new model will be produced at the Valladolid plant and will be launched in Europe in April 2024. On the outside, the new car is available in six exterior colours: Pearl White, Oyster Grey, Star Black, Metallic Grey, Iron Blue and Flame Red. In terms of details, the car will also be available in the color of the center console trim, as well as matching seat belts and seat stitching.
In terms of configuration, the new car will be equipped with Google OpenR Link and Android Automotive 12 multimedia system, and support Apple Carplay and Android Auto functions, which use a 10.25-inch central instrument screen + 10.4-inch vertical central control screen. In addition, the car will also support 48 interior ambient lighting adjustments, USB-C and 12V sockets in the front, and two USB-C sockets behind the center armrest. The new car will also support a number of functions such as lane keeping, lane departure warning, ACC adaptive cruise control, 360-degree view, and achieve Level 2 assisted driving.
In terms of power, the car will be equipped with six powertrains, including two gasoline-powered, two mild-hybrid powertrains, one liquefied petroleum gas powertrain and one plug-in hybrid powertrain. It is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 90 hp and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The car will also be offered with a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 155 hp and a peak torque of 270 Nm.
The mild-hybrid powertrain is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a 48V mild hybrid system that produces a maximum output of 140/160 hp and a peak torque of 260/270 Nm, mated to a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission. The LPG power system can output a maximum power of 100 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid system will be powered by a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine paired with an E-Tech hybrid system paired with a 1.2 kWh battery pack that produces a maximum power of 145 hp and a maximum torque of 205 Nm.
