Today, Tesla announced that the Berlin factory has successfully exceeded the weekly production of 4,000 Model Y, and it took 70 days to climb from 3,000 units per week (as previously reported by IT House) to 4,000 units.
As Tesla's newly commissioned vehicle plants, the Berlin Gigafactory and Texas Gigafactory Model Y production will also enhance their ability to meet consumer demand in the European and North American markets, and increase overall production.
Tesla currently has 4 passenger car plants, and the production capacity of the Fremont plant in California and the Shanghai Gigafactory is still increasing, and the production and deliveries of the Berlin Gigafactory and the Texas Gigafactory continue to increase.
Tesla data shows that in the fourth quarter of 2022, Tesla produced more than 439,000 vehicles worldwide and delivered more than 405,000 vehicles. For the full year of 2022, Tesla delivered 1.31 million vehicles worldwide, a year-on-year increase of 40%; A total of 1.37 million vehicles were produced, up 47% year-on-year.
Specifically, Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2022 were 388131 units, and Model S and Model X deliveries were 17,147 units.
Tesla said it continued its transition to "more balanced mass production for different regional markets," which led to a further increase in vehicles in transit at the end of the quarter.
