To participate in the 1939 New York World's Fair, General Motors produced a fully transparent Pontiac called the Ghost Car, which was also the world's first transparent car, and they became a beautiful sight at the fair, allowing people to see the latest structures and working parts. The Ghost Car was sold for 308,000 US dollars, equivalent to RMB 2.34 million, at the St. John's auction held in Michigan, USA, on July 30, 2011.
