author:Read Spring and Autumn by candle

Tan Hai was the longest of Zhang Xueliang's four bodyguards to accompany the young marshal, for 14 years.

Zhang Xueliang's four bodyguards are: Tan Hai, Jiang Huanan, Li Duoquan, and He Shili. This article only talks about Tan Hai, and will talk about the other three another day.

Tan Hai was born in 1891 in a poor family in Yi County, Liaoning Province, which is now part of Jinzhou City, and he was 10 years older than Zhang Xueliang. Tan Hai has been busy filling his stomach since he was a child, which has created the character of his poor children who have been in charge of the family early.

Tan Hai dropped out of school as a teenager to learn to make shoes with his father, and there was no one left for a big boss. In fact, the weather in the northeast is cold, and his father is good at making felt boots, that is, riding boots that keep warm and good, that is, the kind that bandit beards love to wear, and there are many beards in the northeast, and this craft is not a problem to support the family.

The 20-year-old son inherited his father's business, and Tan Hai opened a shoe shop in Xinmin County, Liaoning Province, which is Zhang Zuolin's hometown. At the beginning, the "shoe making" business was not bad, and there were many items entered every day. Later, Tan Hai became obsessed with martial arts, learned from teachers everywhere, and gradually abandoned the business, and the shoe shop was not well managed and eventually closed.

This is not a bad thing for Tan Hai, but it fulfills his desire to be devoted to martial arts, which is exactly "the lost East Corner harvests the mulberry yu". His extraordinary martial arts skills laid a solid foundation for his career as a bodyguard. For example, Tan Hai is agile, the big knife dances with tigers and tigers, the marksmanship is hundred shots and hundreds, and the incense head is ten rings and nine in the hundred meters away. Three or five strong boys could not get close to him at all, he was a hero in the eyes of people in all directions.

Time rushed, and it was the third year of the Republic of China (1914), when Zhang Zuolin was appointed by Yuan Shikai to supervise the military affairs of the three eastern provinces, and Zhang Zuolin had a brother-in-law Zhang Zuoxiang and served as the chief of staff of the Fengjun Army.

People familiar with modern history are certainly not unfamiliar with Zhang Zuoxiang.

Everyone sees, are the names of Zhang Zuoxiang and Zhang Zuolin like brothers? Don't look at the surname Zhang, but the two are not related. Zhang Zuoxiang, a native of Yixian County, Jinzhou, was the deputy commander of the Feng army.

Zhang Zuoxiang was a righteous man, and Zhang Zuolin admired him very much, so the two became brothers.

Zhang Zuoxiang and Tan Hai are fellow countrymen, and Tan Hai shouts as an uncle on nostalgia, and because of this relationship, Tan Hai defected to Zhang Zuoxiang.

Zhang Zuoxiang read countless people, and after seeing Tan Hai's nose and straight mouth, he also knew his family situation, so he recommended him to be Zhang Xueliang's bodyguard.

It turned out that at this time, Zhang Xueliang was the commander of a certain division for gilding, and as a young marshal for safety considerations, he said to Xueliang: "Nephew, my vision is very poisonous, I have never walked through the eyes, I recommend you a good guy, as long as Tan Hai is there, your safety does not have to worry."

This year Tan Hai was 23 years old.

Later, it turned out that Zhang Zuoxiang did not look away, and Tan Hai quickly became Zhang Xueliang's most trusted bodyguard with his kung fu and fierce loyalty.

In 1928, Zhang Xueliang set up a guard office in the Marshal's Mansion, equivalent to a guard company, mainly responsible for the security of the Marshal and the Shuai Mansion, the director was Tan Hai, who did not know the inside story and called him Zhang Xueliang's aide-de-camp, and tan Hai became the first confidant of the young marshal.

1928 was the year of the bloody disaster of Zhang Zuolin, the king of the northeast, and on June 4 of that year, he was killed by the Japanese, and Zhang Xueliang was appointed as the new king of the northeast.

The old marshal had just passed away and the young marshal stood on his own, and at this time, the crisis in the northeast was full of clouds and clouds, surrounded by strong Japanese enemies on the outside, and there were old ministers seeking positions inside. When Zhang Zuolin's military division and Staff Officer Yang Yuting took the opportunity to force the palace, he wanted to take the position of the young marshal. Here's how it went:

After Zhang Zuolin's death, the military master Yang Yuting was proud of his high merits and did not put the "little sixth son" in his eyes at all.

"Little Six Sons" is Zhang Xueliang's nickname, Yang Yuting never shouts Young Marshal or Xueliang, always a mouthful of a small six sons, and Zhang Xue's conscience is very uncomfortable. Yang Yuting meant to suppress Zhang Xueliang in terms of momentum.

Zhang Xueliang was worried, worried that Yang Yuting's tail would not be detrimental to him, so he had the heart to get rid of Yang Yuting.

On January 10, 1929, Zhang Xueliang hesitated in his heart, and it was uncertain whether to kill or not to kill. Yang is the old shuai's confidant, the merit is outstanding, the old shuai's bones are not cold, and the fear of killing is criticized.

Zhang Xueliang paced back and forth, not killing Yang himself, I can't live in Yang's shadow! At some point, Tan Hai quietly came in, and he said to the young marshal, "I have a way." Saying that, he took out three Yuan datou and persuaded Zhang Xueliang to use the front and back of Yuan Datou to decide: If the three sides thrown out represent killing, otherwise they will not be killed.

Without me to explain more, Zhang Xueliang threw it three times, and three times it was Yuan Shikai's head facing upwards, which represented killing Yang, Zhang thought that killing Yang was Providence, so he strengthened his killing heart!

Yang Yuting

At 8 p.m., Yang Yuting and Chang Yinhuai were invited to Zhang Xueliang's family banquet, and when the two had just entered the Tiger Hall, they were stabbed to death by Tan Hai and his entourage who had been ambushed beforehand, and the people called this incident "Yang Chang went away."

There are many versions of the murder of Yang, among which some people say that Tan Haigong is indispensable, saying that in order to strengthen the determination of Xiao Liuzi to kill Yang, he has done tricks and feet on three Yuan Datou, and these three Yuan Datou are yuan shikai's heads on both sides anyway, no matter how Zhang Xueliang throws it, it is a situation of killing Yang.

Fast forward to 1931, when the September 18 Incident occurred, Zhang Xueliang was watching a play at the Beiping World Theater, and Tan Hai was responsible for protecting his safety as the first bodyguard. When the news of the incident came, Tan Hai was the first to get the news, he knew that the matter was important, and quickly reported to Zhang Xueliang.

Four months later the three eastern provinces fell.

No matter what Zhang Xue's conscience thought at that time, the Japanese Kwantung Army effortlessly occupied the three eastern provinces, and the 300,000 Northeast Army gave up resistance, which was a pain in the hearts of the Chinese people, and no one's heart could pass this hurdle. As a result, the whole country was full of condemnation, and Zhang Xueliang became the culprit of everyone's condemnation for the first time.

For example, when Zhang Xueliang was in Beiping, there were two patriotic students ambushed on the road he had to pass, and when Zhang Xueliang's car passed, one jumped out to stop the car, the driver got out of the car, and the other copied out a dagger and stabbed Zhang Xueliang on the car.

The assassination was between lightning and fire, but Zhang Zuoxiang had a word first: "As long as Tan Hai is there, your safety is not a problem." ”

At this time, Tan Hai kicked the assassin student to the ground almost synchronously, and when the onlookers returned to their senses, Tan Hai had already taken the assassin's dagger in his hand, he did not take further action, looking at the student's face, Tan Hai asked the young marshal not to kill the assassin, Zhang Xueliang was only slightly frightened, and pushed the boat along the water to let go of the two assassins.

After all, the student assassination is not professional, but there is also a professional who has issued a mandatory killing order to Zhang Xueliang, this person is the boss of the axe gang, who assassinated the king Wang Yaqiao.

Wang Yaqiao

Wang Yaqiao, a native of Hefei, Anhui Province, was an anti-Japanese national hero who attached great importance to the great righteousness of the nation, and had organized many actions to stab Jiang And Wang to stab the Generals of the Japanese Army, and was a thorn in the flesh in the eyes of the Kuomintang military command agents and the Japanese army.

At the time of the September 18 Incident, Zhang Xueliang's policy of non-resistance made Wang Yaqiao hate it to the bone, and he wanted to get rid of it.

Coincidentally, in 1933, Zhang Xueliang of Shimono was invited by Du Yuesheng to Shanghai to rehabilitate from drugs, and in Wang's view, it was undoubtedly Zhang Xueliang himself who sent him to his home.

Wang Yaqiao ordered his men to keep a close eye on Zhang, and after stalking, his men planted a bomb in front of Zhang Xueliang's residence, and attached a text message, saying that Zhang Xueliang was not welcome in Shanghai and asked Zhang Xueliang to leave immediately, otherwise, the bomb would not be tolerated.

At that time, Zhang Xueliang was terrified and uneasy, so he asked Du Yuesheng to mediate, and Wang Yaqiao finally gave Du Yuesheng a face and told Zhang Xueliang three chapters of the law: if you want to leave Shanghai alive, you can apologize for committing suicide, the second is to sell your property to fund the anti-Japanese armed forces, and the third is to get out of Shanghai immediately. These three Zhang Xueliang could not do.

Subsequently, under the repeated mediation of Du Yuesheng, Wang Yaqiao finally allowed Zhang to stay in Shanghai for one month to rehabilitate from drugs, and one more day was not safe.

In order to prevent the unexpected, Tan Hai personally went out on horseback, he made careful arrangements for Zhang Xueliang's residence, and secretly sent someone to inform Wang Yaqiao that if he dared to make any move against Zhang Xueliang, the Axe Gang would definitely not be able to eat and walk, and a bloody killing was inevitable.

Fortunately, Wang Yaqiao was interesting and did not harshly rebuke Zhang Xueliang, and after the successful drug rehabilitation, Zhang left Shanghai under the protection of Tan Hai, and a disaster passed by.

In 1936, after the peaceful settlement of the Xi'an Incident, Zhang Xueliang personally escorted Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing, for the safety of the young marshal, Tan Hai insisted on accompanying him, but Zhang Xueliang did not want to involve Tan Hai, and pretended to let him take care of Tianjin's family property and opened him. Who knew that the two would never be separated.

Afterwards, in order to win the hearts and minds of the people, Chiang Kai-shek specially arranged for Tan Hai to be an idle post for the major general of the Jiangsu Appeasement Office, only to receive a salary and not to go to work, but Tan Hai flatly refused out of loyalty.

Chang

Tan Hai later went to Tianjin to live in seclusion, and for more than a decade, he worked in Tianjin, and Zhang Xueliang's million family property did not move at all.

Later, a general of the Northeast Army said to Tan Hai's daughter: "If your father was greedy for money, then he would have sent it a long time ago, and there was an endless stream of people who wanted to go to the young marshal's door." ”

In 1954, Tan Hai died of illness in Tianjin at the age of 63. When the family was cleaning up his belongings, behind an oil painting on the wall of his bedroom, they found some faded handwriting, which, after careful identification, turned out to be some news from Zhang Xueliang.

Zhang Xueliang was fortunate to have such a loyal bodyguard.
